I am the owner of full hotbits exhaust system for my ride for the past 3
weeks... but currently I am using hotbits extractor + hotbits piping +
After market S Flow muffler, why I change my hotbits muffler? here the
finding
1. The muffler is not as silent as you think (Even it is an S Flow, and
guaranted by speedwork people), it only silent when cruise on highway, as
long as you give slightly pressure on gas pedal, it will become loud
2. Low end is not smooth, top end also so so.
I have a opportunity given a test by a member name khguan in wise auto
club to try on the muffler he sell, after try it on my car I like it very
much and install it in my car until now, why?
This is also a S Flow Muffler, it generate sportier exhaust sound from
outside my car but it is silent than OEM stock muffler, it have ample
torque on low end without scarify smoothness on high end, I still manage
count 0 - 100km/h around 8.5s easily... most important...its only RM250!
compare with my hotbits muffler RM550...it is much much cheaper yet
provide good performance and no need worry on whatever police block.
As a conclusion, good peformance muffler doesnt means it must loud until
people hear you exhaust noise from far far but wait until flower die also
cannot see your car come.

some brief information of the test conducted..
The noise analyzer only record the peak reading. Since the exhaust noise
is always higher than any background noise, so the reading represent only
the noise produced by the exhaust system. Distance of the microphone was
1.0 m from the opening of the tip in all tests.
The engine was not under load (free revving), therefore the noise level
only represent what would be heard by an audience at the road side while
you cruise-pass him.
3 setups were tested:
1. Original Wira SE piping & original single-tip muffler (control)
2. Original Wira SE piping & JamSpeed twin-tip muffler (variable: end
muffler)
3. HotBits piping & JamSpeed twin-tip muffler (variable: end muffler &
piping)
We found that the original Proton exhaust system is quite linear across
the rpm range. This is used as the base line for comparison.
With just the end muffler replaced with a JamSpeed unit, we can see that
the noise produced during idling is almost the same. At 3000 rpm, we saw
a 7% increase in noise and it was actually quieter than a stock system at
5000 rpm.
The piping (with mid-muffler) is then changed to a complete HotBits unit.
A huge 13% increase in noise was detected at only 2000rpm! The noise
level at 3000rpm was however similar to the previous setup. At 5000 rpm,
it was some where in between the control and setup 2.

err....but my final preference, would be; the muffler should look nice,
maybe a silent killer la....don't mind whether it looks like an apexi n1
muffler or dual tailpipe like the speedwork one.....or maybe with ac
schnitzer oval tip....somehow doesn't produce loud noise say below
3000rpm,(like stock muffler sound) then if rammed above 3500rpm, sounds
like hell. got this kind of muffler or not? if got for campro, it's gonna
be me the first to get it.
try to find one like i mentioned above? confirm impossible! muffler got
brain ehh?

anyone heard about Sebring?
i'm using it for my 1.6AT Waja...twin-tip with 1.75" inlet size.
got that Continental car bassy low-notes coming out from it.
FC lower compare to stocks muffler.
i can feel significant 'push' from around 4k RPM...with nice and still
family-friendly sound.
