Help me to choose. Plan to have second CAR for my wife. I’ve compared
these 2 cars for 1.3 auto specifications.
NEO MYVI
Price RM 46,500 RM 46,455
Max. Output 70kW @ 6000 rpm 64 kW / 6000rpm
Max. Torque 120 Nm @ 4000 rpm 116 Nm / 3200rpm
Brake Disc front & rear Disc front only
Look Sporty Decent
Interior Front OK & back cramped Spacious front & back
Handling Lotus tuned Don’t know who tuned
Body framed Combination of ultra-high Don’t know what steel
and high tensile strength
steel
Test Drive Not much different from Gen2 Yet to test
2nd hand value might be worse might be good
I’m posting this at 3 group, Perodua owners forum, Performance protons &
latest news to get as much as possible comment from you guys. Thank you….

JJAgen2,
You have forgotten to ask 2 more important questions:
1. How do your wife wants to use the car?
- Family use, whereby you will use the car to fetch people. (MyVi is the
choice)
- Not people carrier. Your wife wants to use to "jalan-jalan". (Satria
Neo is the choice)
and most important question:
2. Is your wife likes Satria Neo or MyVi?
Majority of 2 door car owners are single. Just check it out the group of
owners who own current Satria. 2 door cars are highly unsuitable for
family use of course there are exceptions i.e. Mr Engineer.

If your budget is around 1.3 model. go for Myvi 1.3. Satria 1.3 has no
power and SUCKS!!! the body, handling and suspension are not well build
compare to 1.6 model.
Myvi on the other hand using same engine as Toyota Avanza with different
tuning. Toyota call it VVTI. Perodua call it DVVT.
Myvi is cooperation between Toyota and Daihatsu. The perodua engineer
were in Japan to R&D for more than 6 months with Toyota and Daihatsu
engineers. So the build quality is EXTREMLY Good for MyVI.
THe Toyota and Daihatsu has same model as Myvi but with different
facelift and tuning.
So you are buying a QUALITY car. Not some "so called Lotus " technology
which is not fully implemented in Proton. Very shame.....
Anyway, I myself ordered a Red color Satria Neo 1.6A. It happens that
the car is in the showroom and no one book it. So by next week, I'll be
driving it once the loan is approved. :D :D
If Myvi delivery is 2 weeks, I would have bought Myvi. But too bad it
takes 3 months to get the Auto version.
Toyota, Bestari and Honda are way too expensive and I don't want to buy
such expensive car. My current car is renault kangoo and now NO 2nd hand
Value!!!!! Total lost more than RM50k!!!!!!
