Is there any "proof" that the ECU is Siemens? I would like to know how did
you get this piece of information? Care to share?

Thanks

Now wouldn't that that affect the performance. I have heard many negative
things about the Siemens ECU and nothing positive in the forums so far.
Well that sure will affect my decision in buying the R3. What are your
views about the Siemens ECU?

Let's just say the car's been dynoed and the power output at the wheels
is more than a stock GTi with Siemens or MMC ECU..

I shall take your word for it. Cause I am interested in buying the R3.
Hearing that the Siemens ECU gives problem to the idling, vibration and
the throttle body, it seems discouraging. Moreover, improving the
performance of the R3 would seem be harder. Even Proton Motorsports did
not even use Siemens ECU and used and MMC ECU for their prototype. It does
not say much about the confidence in the Siemens ECU does it? Just giving
my two cents worth.

What is your opinion
