Hie Aristo,

long time no c..anyway i dono whether my ecu is siemiens or not also..but
then theres a check engine word come up everytime wen i start the
engine..is that siemens ecu?
mine is a year 2001 october kolek car wan...and is there anyway i could
change my ecu to a 1.5 mitu ecu?

Shaggy, altering TB? do you mean exchange TB to the bigger one? If so, i
would say, not worth it. Swapping the "throat" to the bigger size wont
reduces resistance in gas flow at the internal parts of engine. There are
still restricted for air+fuel mixture to pass through intake tract and port
i.e. ridges around the in-ex-tracts, rough surfaces at the ports etc and
the same goes to exhaust fume.

My suggestion, can you hold on to what you have and live with it for the
next 12 months or so. There will be a launch of a new model from proton
undernamed "wira replacement model" (WRM). I'm waiting for this new model
and by the time the model launch for public eyes, my 2.5 years ol' car will
be cut off from monthly installment.....yippie

Anyway just my opinion....no hidden agenda or whatsoever behind it.

MrShaggy..... Check Engine word....does the light goes off ? if it is a
Check Engine Word...dat means ur lucky..... not the inferior Siemens ECU

To me, I have done quite a lotsa mod on my Auto 1.6 car....and I feel, the
best way is still to drop in an engine. A twin cam 1.5 is not that bad as
suggested earlier. If got bajet, go 4 MIVEC.

Yah the check engine word comes out then after starting the engine about
3 seconds it goes off..its orange in colour wan the word..forgot which
side it is already cos its been 3 months since i last drive the car?
serious ka tis mean i dun have the siemiens ecu??

anyway regarding the TB..i dun tink its exchanging a new tb but jus
altering it.dono wut my fren meant cos he jus said altering it..maybe
making it bigger and stuff for 400 bucks and he felt that tremendous
increase in low end torque...worth it ar? but then damn ting is my
stupid3 speeder la..

well siemens ECU tips

a) the engine check is an icon not the phrase
b) the engine check doesnt go off till u start the car
c) u check the throttle body, if got VDO on it, then it is a siemens

Erm, well for me there's a check engine phrase so number 1 is out
muahah..number 2..well it depense..if i put my key in and start
immediately then it will go off after bout 3 seconds..but if i turn the
key 2 start and leave it there..after 3 secons also it will go off..haha
means numbe 2 is out..number 3..dono yet..dun have car with me now 2
check..:P
