My ABS warning lights goes on and off frequently.
Can it be repaired?
A new one, I hear costs about $6000!

maybe you heard some fictional horror stories. all i can advice you is
to ask the repairman to check on the abs sensor located at your
brakes first.

sometimes.. a good cleaning of the ABS sensor is all it takes to solve
mystery ABS problems.

but the car will skid if you brake hard when the abs warning light is on?

That means the sensors are fine right?

the wheels lock up and the car starts to skid.
It started after I changed my brake pads to don advantage.

woh, lock is bad since abs should not lock upon the slam. go check on the
abs if i were you and make sure the garage knows what they forgot to fix
back.

I did it at YSkeong. I thought these guys were good!
Only thing is I did it a long time ago, and at that time I thought it
will just go away(wishful thinking)

The Don brake pads are not very good either.

I guess I will have to take it to the workshop one way or other.
aiyooo pokai lah macam ni.

Had similar problem. Found ABS sensor had loose wiring and my mechanic
got it rectified.

Good luck.

when the ABS sensors are dirty, the ABS won't work, and the warning light
will come on. the warning light means that ABS is not working.

and of course, if your wheels lockup under hard braking.. its definitely
not working.
