Forget about the specs of the car...

mine does about RM1 - 8kms or something like that.

A full tank can take me about (est) 380k before i start to panic... i
think 400++ also can lah...

fyi. my car has small time mods on it

maybe its coz u use too much of the high gear. The GTi's power band is
towards the higher revs, so keep the car 's revs up there. Change gear at
about 3,500 on 1st and 4000rmp for the others, u should have good f.eco

try it.

Right! So find out what is your car peak torque and do the math. Pretty
simple.

BTW anyone tried out what i said earlier? Did it work for you as it did
for me? The truth is after a while u'll get lazy and go back to your
normal driving style... :)

i dunno about the GTI, but as a comparison.. i own a 7yr old wira 1.8exi
dohc.

256,762 km on the clock as of last nite, owned the car since new and the
engine has never been rebuilt.

no real mods. the usual filter, larger throttle body, ngk power cables
(bought them to replace originals which went kaput recently, and cheaper
than original proton OEM part), stock OEM NGK plugs, stock extractor, 2
inch exhaust with 1 bullet, and a rather restrictive but quiet muffler.

love to rev the car, and will hit 6500-7000 rpm everyday.. for sure, can't
help it... i'm such a hooligan :(

went to the track 4 times in the last 12 months alone.

car will still do around..

town : 10L/100km
highway: 11.5L/100km
