The twin pot brakes disc comes together with the Eterna halfcut. So no problem about
replacing them.

Not much of a website specifically for Eterna as it's an old JDM model. Most info gathered
are taking a bit pieces here & there... especially from hands on experience among our
V•Sixers Club members.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm really tempted to find out some
answers. I own a '94 Galant E55 which I've swapped the S4 engine with
6A12. What is like to know, is it possible to change from auto gearbox to
manual with much hassle ?

Reason is that the auto gearbox doesn't last long. The half cut I bought
had about 55k on the clock and I used it for another 20-30k then the
gearbox died on me so replaced with another gearbox which I've no idea on
the mileage but I've been using it for almost 20k km now and no idea how
long this one will lasts.

Thanks in advance.

There shouldn't be any problem to replace the auto trans to a manual. In fact that is
specifically what some of our members are contemplating of doing if their auto trans
eventually give way. We have one member who just after 2 months of purchasing a brand
new PV6, dumped in a manual trans to unleash the beast in the 6A12. As is commonly
known, the 6A12 true performance is only limited by the auto trans. But then again, we have
some members who would prefer to re-service their auto trans instead. More of a personal
choice. Wink

tenchu,
Thanks for the info. The gearbox for my Galant is F4A232 so do I have to
search for a manual with the same code? I paid 1.5k for the current
gearbox after trade-in the spoilt one, will I have to pay more for a
manual since there are not many around?

After reading through the threads on 6A12 gearboxes, can I conclude that
this platform are the only problematic ones ? Reason why I ask this is
because if eventually I need to sell off my E55 Galant I would probably
get the newer version of Galant but definitely will change my mind if it's
the same case.
