4g91 is 1.5 dohc...
4g92 is 1.6
4g93 is 1.8

last time i drive 4g92 sohc then i wanted to change dohc then they ask me
to change 4g91 doch.:)
anyway to answer your question 4g91,4g92,4g93 have the same head and shift
here and there..

nearly the same lah ...if can plug into without modify means all the water
hole ,oil have to be the same.... if not later u will see water and oil
getting together. the driffent between is the valve. and the valve
size... bigger horse use bigger valve:)

ok...since 4G91 is a 1.5 and 4G93P's a 1.8...
there' should be difference in injectors, bore size and stroke, cam
profile, throttle body size...
bout the crank case...hmm not sure if its the same...
as far as i know the 4G92 DOHC(j-spec) ones are the same as the 4G91 DOHC
ones...

bout performance wise...
the 4G93P was claimed 140 hp on engine while it produces only <120 hp on
wheels..while the 4G91 DOHC was claimed to be about 110 hp on engine but
its only bout 90+/- on wheels

but i've known ppl who uses 4G93's cams on 4G91 engine b4...and claim it
improves some performance...how true...dunno lar..
but mechs does claims its a waste of effort...might as well transplant..

moddin' potential wise..4G91 DOHC has got less potential than the
4G93P..coz after all 4G91's just a 1.5...compared to 4G93 which is
already..1.8...

hope these helps...

Bigger bore means bigger piston on 4G93 compare to 4G91. While 4G92
share same piston diameter with 4G93.

PISTON DIAMETER

4g91=78.4mm
4g92=81.0mm
4g93=81.0mm

With this spec, can you fit 4g93 cylinder head to 4g91 block? It's common
to interchange 4g92 and 4g93 cylinder head coz they are sharing same
diameter of piston but differ in stroke.
Last time I wanted to change cyl head from 4g92SOHC to DOHC but it will
cause a lot of unknown problem arises,in the end I did a whole engine
conversion to 93DOHC which is hoped to be more reliable and enough
power.Some more cheaper!
If someone succesfully did the 91 to 93 head conversion, let us know coz
a lot more ppl out there want to do so.

TQ
