Yup service manual sez 100,000km for belt change. Suggest you get the car retuned with MUT diagnostic at Proton Edar. They can tweak it with the MUT. I tried the ecotek device on my car 2 yrs ago and it works. Calculated the fuel consumption improvement roughly 13-16% for mixed highway/city driving. Used it for several months then sold it to a friend. It works better during highway cruising.

some sort like Unichip, microtac add on ECU..

You can tune your own with the laptop after you install this gadget.

Hi Tea,
How is ur car??In waht rpm u shift ur gear??mayb next time u try to shift
ur gear ard 2500-3000 rpm instead...that will save some fuel...or try to
use a drop-in K&N air filter....im using that n the fuel consumption is
slight better compare to stock filter....n have u service ur car...mayb
the mechanic put a wrong type spark plug...juz have these things double
check..

p/s: u r also try to change to potenza...i changed mine last 3 months
ago...re711..45series..very good grip n wet handling...although is a old
tech tyre...try to opt for G3 potenza if available...coz i last time i
heard the G3'll b available ard march in malaysia..

i get mine re711 at 260.including all the services..
hope this help.

Ripper,

I tried not to exceed more than 3000 rpm that suppose to below 110 kmph.
How much you bought the air filter and where to get it in Penang?
Is quite hard to find some performance part in here and normally more
expensive..
I already send my car to the UPD for checkup and everything seems normal
to them.. too bad nothing much

About the tyre, im also using re711..45series which cost me rm280 per piece
.
G3 i guess will the price will be slightly higher that what we using now.

Anyone here using any aftermarket ECU or AFC?
How was the performance.
Thanks for sharing..
Hope can create a new community for SGTI in here..
Any suggestion on gathering for northen region site?
