went to Jaya Supermart.

bought the hose, 4" diameter, 1 meter in length, RM11

bought from taipan DIY shop, 150mm Cable Tie Down, RM2.90. Those white little wire thing to tie down cables.

take out stock waja air tube, 2 screws, take out 2 min.

fix the hose, 10min, using 2 TieDown on top, 1 at the bottom.

cant find a good clearance in the bumper, tie down to the bottom of bumper. 10min.

Kaotim.

performance gain? almost Nil.

cost? RM13.90

Satisfaction of doing another tube just as useless as Proton Engineer? Priceless.

will try to take a digital camera to take some photos it.

Yeap, I got Registered 3 weeks ago.

Still, the CAI would be very effective when during hot weather. Normal? nah.

Maybe extra 0.045 HP also good enuf Tongue

Mr E is right, if you are observant, you will notice that the car is not as sluggish as before in hot weather/traffic jam.

I'm going to the DIY shop in Jaya tomorrow to get a bigger hose.

not sluggish during hot day or mid afternoon...definately.

there was an article somewhere in the net that palcement of the CAI inlet will greatly effect teh amount of cold air that is coming/pushing into the air filter.

it got to do with placing some pressure probe and taking reading from diff point in front of the car to get optimum results. this is so as most cars have diff aerodynamic profile..so the best palce u think to put the hose, might turn out not to be the best place afterall.....
