EBC are made in the UK as you guys probably know..back here there have been many complaints about the pads and green stuff in particular..it seems that chunks of pad material are breaking away from the metal ..the company did change hands to a new owner some time ago and the green stuff compound underwent a change in ingredients to improve cold performance..I would find a different pad if I were you..all not well so it would seem at the moment at EBC..I used them for years but will be looking for a different pad myself when the time comes for my gen 2..front pads are 80 GBP for it from proton dealer..holy mother.. smile_angry.gif

After using Bendix CT for 4 months, feeling not bad for normal road use. When I drove my fren's Vios, found the OEM brake is a lot better than my Bendix, definitely more than enough for Genting fast driving. smile_thumbup.gif
Any recommention for better upgrade without changing brake booster? smile_tongue.gif

What r u driving?

sometimes different car have different feel.
A Neo CPS with its well balanced chassis wont dip its nose easily to maintain weight distribution hence enhancing cornering ability.
Most people judge braking power by this nose-dipping feel.
A car equipped with EBD will feel different too.
U can feel the different when u carry passenger and not carrying passenger.
What u need to look for is the rate of slowing down.
On the OEM Vios's brakes,i doubt its more than enough for Genting fast driving.
"Fast" is subjective to individual meaning.

Bendix CT is for normal use and dont expect much from it.
If u r running on cheap tyre, this will also affect braking as braking is a combination of the brakes and tyre grip.
If u hav good braking power but poor tyre grip,u will loses traction as the tyre cannot cope with the braking power.
Hence the longer braking distance.
For example,my BLM is currently using Yamamoto pads but i am still on stock GY Ducaro.
The braking power is more than grip available right now as my tyre is running out of thread.

If u hav not replaced your brake fluid b4 and its already 40kkmon the odo then i suggest u do so.
Other pads to consider is Bendix Metal King Titanium,RS and Lucas.

OE proton pad is good enough for daily use. Most important is to get the 'best' tyre you can afford! Brake pad stops (or slow down) the wheels, but it is the wheel that stop (or slow down) a car.

depending on what you want...

stock you can get for RM 60 - RM 70 but for regular use la..

alternatively you can go for..
Rapid Stop Brake Pads (550C or 800C) or Pumatec Brake Pads (500C / 680C)..
both are value for money and they bites much better than stock...

go find drex for more information la...
