while the 1.6 is using the Aisin auto from korea . Is that correct???
i am considering either the optra 1.6 or the elantra 1.6. Any comments????
thanks

I;ve test driven the 1.6 months back. It is smooth. if you like quiet
cabin, u will like Optra. Power is not that bad. End up, i chose 1.8
simply due to more safety features and added accessories. It will not be
fair for me to say Optra is better than Elantra. Go for a test drive first
then decide. Personally i prefer Optra outlook (exterior and interior) to
Elantra...my taste may differ than yours.

Since Optra 1.6 and Elantra 1.6 are within the price range of City 1.5,
have you considered City? I am asking because I am considering whether to
buy Aveo 1.5, Optra 1.6 or City 1.5. I like City's good fuel consumption
and continuous variable transmission though City is smaller than Optra.

i'm driving a satria 1.6 now, good power , ok car but small space. looking
at a bigger car now thats why optra or elantra. City and vios a bit small
for me though both good fc and from reputable company.
optra 1.6 fc definitely should be more than ct or vios at similar price
range but at moment i prefer optra.

Yes, the is a problem installing tinting at the rear windscreen. It is
not during the installation. Is is just that when removing the tint
(maybe after 5 or 7 years, or mis-installation), the coils / linings
where the heat is transfering, will be removed too.
This happened to me lor, as I consider i am the first few batch who took
optra. Bcos the installation of the tint is not properly done, it need
to be replaced. Now, my rear heater is not working. Plus the radio
aerial is built on to the rear windscreen just like the heater coil, the
signal is not that strong !!
Now, I'm waiting for a refund from the Tint-Shop in Puchong !!
BTW, just for your info, the rear windscreen price is around RM1,100.
All in with other needed parts and lubes plus installation !
Okay mah the price !!

thanks for the info, you didnt mention what type of screen you are using,
v-kool, riken, rike-cool?
fyg sa told me that the v-kool installer wants to continue trying to
install the screen, quoting me 1600 for v-kool, what you think.
also since you drove the optra 1.6 so long already any info on feul
consumption, hows the aisin transmission doing, and any other info would
be appreciated to help me decide which car to take heheheheheh
