one of Chevy owner.And suddenly on 17 Feb, he's already talking about our
great car(Yes you are right, actually I just want to know whether you know
about
it or not, well atleast we are all here to share and exchange ideas about

Dont be fooled into believing that this a true blooded american car. Its
a down to earth Korean Daewoo along with its korean quality and
reliability.I had a good laugh during the KL motorshow when some ignorant
fools were commenting how affordable and made in usa this car was

I think Korean car are not bad.
I have drove many cars (Japs) in the past I must admit, my ex- Hyundai Elantra ('92
model) was the best. Very comparable to Euro standard.
Heavy body with solid powertrain. Ride was fun. Easy to maintain. Fantastic
finishing too.
On the other hand, full blooded American model should be avoided. They are
design for the American mkt and may not be that good for our region used. Take
example the Chev Nabira. The model made in Thailand is specifically design for
the Asian mkt as can be seen from the different coolant used and dual air-con
compressor. Thailand is the "Detroit" of Asia and if Nabira/Zafira owner in Europe
wants the dual aircon system, car is taken from the Thai assembly line instead of
the German plant.
My Korean-made car is as good as the Japanese one. For its low price (mkt), it
tends to be no frills.
Like you said, the idiot who said the Chev Aveo is made in US is crap. Like saying
all Japs car made in Japan.

We had such an 'undercover agent' from a company selling alarm systems
sometime back and that person even went to the extent of promoting its
products and inviting people to the showroom. We did not like that since
it was free advertising at our cost.
if Hicomobil or any other car company wants to interact with customers
via our forum, we certainly welcome them but they should do so openly so
that people know. To pretend to be a 'potential owner' and ask strange
questions is not ethical. There are unethical people in certain car
companies (eg the Siemens woman) but I don't think Hicomobil is like that.

if so, we don't mind at all. As long as u identify urself, everyone is
happy. It's pretty good to talk to someone in Hicom that knows more on
Chevy than my SA that knows kacang.
