Hiiii...

Read in Autocar Asean yesterday that the Kangoo 1.6i A models are already
sold in Singaporean market, although the cars are in LCV version...

Made a bit search on the internet just now, and it is mentioned the 1.6i
A is a 16 valver version...How nice...

Hmmm...just wondering when that version of engine will come to our
shore...

Any news???

The Kangoo 1.6 engine is the current engine used worldwide. The 1.4 is a
phased engine beginning 2005, but they still use it here. The European
version uses the 1.6 engine which is more powerful and better.

Actually, the power of the 1.2lit Savvy almost matches the 1.4lit kangoo.
I wonder if it can fit into a kangoo. The ratios would be diff. though.

Kangoo also have the 1.2 version and it using the same engine as Savvy...
1.2 SOHC 16v! The hp is almost the same but the 1.4 have 114Nm/2800rpm
while the 1.2 at higher rpm!

If TC wanna bring the 1.6 version, how much they can sell?? Maybe near to
RM80k....it will compete againts Citra 2.0, Matrix, Innova, City, Vios
etc. So i dont thing they will introduce the 1.6 version here. I heard TC
will bring in the diesel version soon!!Big Smile

Heard that power/torque measurements of Conti cars like Kangoo are taken
at the wheel unlike Jap cars like Avanza which are taken at the engine.
How true is this ?

So, for the same engine size the Kangoo power and torque is higher than
Jap car similar engine size? Is it?

Dear chkwong

Good Afternoon

SB :
logically speaking ... you ought to be correct about the at-wheels
measurement part ...

SS :
after all measurements from at-engine source ... will not accurately
reflect power losses ( even miniscule ) from engine to final wheels-on-
surface-of-road ?

Have A Nice Day

Cheers from savvybaby+steamy stacy ( the logically speaking deduction
TEAM ? )
