the sa told me he can give 2k discount for 1.8CD and 3k for 1.8 sport ver.
mine is 1.8CD & the final purchase price is 104k with insurance but since i
have ncb i got around 103k in total. i think the price after 2k & 3k discount
is the original price before price increase due to the new tax this yr. i booked
from ampang point area branch. i test drive at jln ampang head office but the
sa there cannot convince me to buy the car. on sunday 04/04/04 (special
number isn't it) i test drive 2nd time at ampang point and the sa offered me
the discount b4 i asked for it. he has also given me cost price for a semi-
leather seat. so i think i've got a good deal. yesterday the sa told me black
colour is available so i can get it within this month. like wclimkl, i plan to
change to sport rim. any advice from you guys?

Went to Ampang Puteri this morning, passed by the Ampang Point branch.
There were 2 Aveos (Magma Red and Silver) and 1 Nabira 1.8 CD (Thai Gold)
registered already.

To wclimkl,
1. 17" rims can fit, even 18" can fit. It's a question of choice. Jln
Kapar, Klang has lots of rims and cheap tyres but for Continental cars, you
really have to check lots of places coz they don't usually keep stock. If
Japanese cars, then no porblems. Keep in mind not all Conti cars' PCD and
offsets are the same. BMW. Mercedes, Volks, Peugeot have different PCD,
thus are no interchangeable.

2. If you have some money to spare, go to Stamford Tyre Automart at
Glenmarie. They have lots of rims for Conti cars but they're very, very
expensive. But the rims are usually exotic and not many cars have the same
rims. Tyres for 17" are usually RM400 upwards and 18" RM500 upwards. They
usually have warehouse sale end of the year. I bought my 18" chrome rims
for my Perdana in 2001. Original price was RM3000 but sale price was
RM1800. All in all spent RM 4800 for rims and tyres. They said only 2
Perdanas (including mine) using these rims. Also, if you change to bigger
tyres, the speedo reading will be different. I read somewhere that Opel
Zafira speedo can be adjusted on the ECU but don't know whether the SC can
do it. Went to Eneos (One-Utama) and calculated for 17" rims with tyres
will cost around RM3500.

3. Window tinting, so far I've only used V-Kool on both my cars. SmartTag
works but Fastrack (LDP,SPRINT,KESAS) doesn't work. I had to cut an opening
on my Perdana for my Fastrack cos I use the Kerinchi Link daily. On my
Nabira, I didn't make an opening cos the highways will use only Touch n
Go/SmartTag starting June 2004. So, no point in cutting. Mine is V-Kool
Gold Dust , cost RM1000.00 only, done by the salesman. Make sure if you
tint, go to a specialist. Then you'll get warranty etc. If you want cheap,
then you might end up with peeling and/or bubbles.

4. Not advisable to tint the rear windows. Even though good so that
outsiders cannot peek inside but once JPJ starts their operations, you'll
be peeling it in front of them.

5. Customised skirting, eh? You can visit www.x-tune.com or e-mail Zac at
enquiries@x-tune.com or call +6017 333 0287. Be advised, the kits are quite
expensive. If you want customised, can try Bumi Fibreglass at PJ, next to
Daihatsu behind Jalan 222. Can look in car magazines (Motor Trader, Torque,
Cars.my etc). they have adverts for car bodykits also.

So, does that answer your questions?

kay es,
i open your album but nothing inside. anyway the nabira sticker is very
nice. you took out the ori, everything DIY i assume?

all,
sports rim & body kits surely looks nice, and that's the rational when i
opt for the sport version. at least no need to think of upgrading in that
dept for now. 16" is a fair compromise b/w performance/handling/looks, i
think... More photos pls guys ...
luggage cover for 600 eh? hmmm... still expensive for me

when to the Maluri showroom they told me its shanghai red but when i went
to ampang sroom they told me its magma red. Until now don't know whether
its magma or shanghai....... Don't care much as long as i get the right
color. heheheheheheBig Smile
