after read some replies, seems like most alfa can go more than 220km/h.
just want to tell u what i`m experience last night. when i on the way
back from KL to nothern last night, i run constantly 160km/h. suddently,
one 146 come tailgating me. i notice it when i overtook it about 5km b4.
then, i pushing more, this 146 only manage to tailgating me until 190km/h
oni. pushing more to my top 210km/h, stay at this speed for 2minutes b4
the tempreture rise up. after that, can`t even see it headlamp anymore.
when i slowing back, it come again then give left signal and out to
simpang pulai. if that 146 owner is here, i`m the last night 9 years old
fully stock plotong putra driver. bash me if you want since i drive a
cheap plotong only. but this what i experience. no bullshit. Big Smile

just slightly higher than normal. normally it go no more than half. but
this time, the needle at half mark. this normal when u stay a top speed
for more than a minute. especially on cheap car like this. Frown

is it as simple as that to judge an alfa by accel and max speed?
it did not loose because of it's an alfa....many other factors to
consider...and a putra is not a "cheap" car...

147, most of the time, car can reach around 200km/h. Highest is 210km/h
(probably angin tolongBig Smile). Car is original, no mod.

Good thing about these cars is that, it can cruise at high speed without
much problems. Did couple of times an average of 180km/h for 1hour plus.

On the 2nd day of ownership of my car(less than 100km milleage), i've
already hit past 200km/h.

Sorry to say, but it's really hard for me to believe this when one
forumers claim:

"ive personally done a best of 255kph in my 156 and she was still
pulling.
then again, mine isn't stock"

if GTA, i know. it mayb can go more than this. but for stock 156 2.0 N/A.
155bhp. seems like physics's really tough. 255kmh??? still pulling??
really this fast meh alfa?? Shock

quattro,
the 156 which has done 255kph is a "2.5" V6 with alot of goodies under
the hood. If the driver had lost a few more kilos, i think that car can
get even fasterer to be the fasterest.

IMO, alfa is a better high speed cruiser. Your light proton can surely go
faster esp when modded but you wont be comfortable at high speed and like
what you've experienced, the temp goes up. In an alfa, you can do JB-KL
at 180-200kmh constantly w/out any problem.

owh, 2.5 v6 ka... no wonder la can go up to 255kmh. i tot 2.0 one. yes,
of course la alfa a better high speed cruiser. not only alfa, but i think
most european cars la. actually, my putra temp still not rise up even if
i constantly run on 180km/h for a long time. but when the rpm go more
than 6000 only (>200km/h) the prob come la. but very slowly. yes the body
is quite light. i wish i could own an Audi RS4 in future to chase an Alfa
on highway. But, with monthly income less than 3k, how come maa..???Big Smile
