Of Course...that's supercar geared to do above 300km/h...for long
distance lar not a short sprint right. I did follow one of my colleque
with Modenna from JB to KL....still can answer the phone without handfree
at 260km/h while cucuking 911 Turbo.

hahhahahah i believe those who says that alfa cant reach 200++kmh on
speedo on real life speed is the one who had been bitten by alfa top
speed before... hhehehhehheh

and anyone who is skeptical about alfa perfomance can call REDD for a
friendly sprint with your car... if u are looking for a smaller engine ..
i.e 1.7 u can post over here... most of the alfa cars are lightly modded
i.e exhaust+airfilter only.... ;)...
and may i suggest that we race from KL to Kuantan.... :)

Erm.. not to degrade any of the make or so.. But this is from my
experience..

Once i was going full throttle on my Gen2 1.6(M), full throttle, and i
can hit 220km/h (Max).. But from 180 -> 200 -> 220, it takes almost
eternity, and a good > 5km straight road to make it so.. RPM wise, its
hitting close to redline when its in 220km/h. But, Compared to an Alfa, a
1.6 146, from 150 - 210, it takes half the time required compared...

To verify if the Gen2 speedo is way off, on a car trip down to penang, i
was following a Fiat coupe, and i was going 195 km/h, called the coupe
driver, and ask for his speedo reading.. same reading as well.. Blush

Don't get me wrong guys, i own an alfa for last 6 yrs till now.. And i
love the car everybit till now..

err... hope it`s not too late to post about my top speeds:

33 8V 1.7 QV - 190km/h (stock standard on straight level expressway on
the way to Senai)

75 8V 2.0
- stock standard takes a bit longer to reach 200km/h
- lowered front suspension - 215km/h

147 1.6 stock:
- flat straight road NS Expressway - 195km/h
- NS Expressway north-bound on the way to KL got a road that goes very
high up into the hills/mountains - 205km/h while going upslope(anyone
know why?)
- back on flat ground - 195km/h

147 1.6 with 2.0L engine mod with upgraded ecu and standard 1.6 gearing:
- 220km/h

147 1.6 with 2.0L engine mod with upgraded ecu and 156 selespeed gearbox:
- takes forever and ever to reach 205km/h (I might be short shifting =S )

* the synchros for the fourth gear was gone, had them replaced and now,
4th gear reaches 200km/h and 5th reaches 230km/h(not on flat road but,
same hilly stretch on NS Expressway) Had three friends from the same club
as eye witnesses =)

Regards!
