SDAI financing scheme like Volvo with balloon instalments is a trap for the
unwary. Or the desperate. No one should take such a scheme unless he/she
can afford the highest instalment now, not at a future time. It oso points
to how desperate companies are to push out their cars.

guys,

i sent my honda in for warranty claim yesterday...and while i was waiting
for my fren to pick me up from there...my itchy legs took me over to the
next door...hehehe...

well...think my wait is quite rite...they are giving additional 5K
discount on top of what they told me last time...hmmm...wonder what will
happen after raya...hehehe...

but that additional 5K did some movements in my heart though...damn...must
tahan tahan...!!!

oh...another thing is...they did sell some cars with their discounts n
financing scheme...as i didn't see any 156 left in the showroom plus the
color that i want for the 147 got only one left...damn damn damn...

as for the VW GTi, it's beyond my budget lah...with that additional
35K...i can do many things liao...

the 147 is a head turner no doubt about it. i believe the 147 is of the
better ones compare to the previous models. i have one and it's already 2
years. I do not have any serious problem except for a blown bulb which
costs me $2.5 to replace.

Every 10k costs me about RM250(4.5litres + oil filter). Major service(40k)
about RM1.3k.

GTI is a good car, but the look is rather bland(IMHO). Of course, interms
of power, this is not a car you'd want to play with. DSG is really
efficient. You can really feel the power pull(sorry, not a car guy) when
you accelerate. Even with 18" rims(tested VW Wald), it soaks up bumps
pretty well.

It's your money, your call. I don't mind to get another hatchback but In-
house Financial Controller didn't approve the application Frown.

hehehe... if you are thinking of GTI, wouldn't the new Passat be a better
bet?

one more thing, the variator in Alfas(147 & 156) will sound like diesel-
clattering after ~100,000km or so. But the GTI FSI engines also sound like
that when when you purchase new.

I was told by Audi rep.(when i was testing the A4) that this is normal for
FSI engines. A bit malu when the car is idle and you are outside talking
to your friends. But if you are in the car, you can hardly hear the
clattering sound.

A point to take note off if you are sensitive to the sounds.

how much the total discount?
Last time a very good salesman told me 30k can easily kau tim.
Meaning OTR is at around 150k. This was 3 months ago!
The GTI is pricey that the 147 by a lot la. 200k vs 160k...a lot wor.
Anyway, get the management car for sale....its cheap around 120k can
surely get.

yeah, alternative is to get management cars as they have comes with FULL
warranty and probably 30-40k cheaper. Best if to call SDAI directly and
ask them. Not sure about 120k but last heard was ard 140k for demo cars
(couple of months back).

Avoid Alfa demo cars. They have been abused kaw kaw by journalists. Your
car is no longer virgin...feels loose instead of tight. Big Smile

slpless,it's cumming to end of year, why buy now? Another few months and
you can demand more discount for 2 year old model.

very true...still holding...furthermore, the salesman have yet to come
back with the quote of my honda...guess he dare not quote me as the
current resale value for less than 2 yo car is sucks...

anyway...i really don't mind to buy the demo car if it comes with the full
warranty and of coz...at RM120K...heee...Big Smile
