Looking at the frailness of this car already put me off. I think Myvi and
Savvy has tougher body shells.
It looks like a regenerated version of the Kancil, bigger but not fae at
all.
Besides, the instruments like the a/c switches are typically Chinese-
made, very flimsy. Guarantee you it will fall of or break within a year.
Naza salesmen..don't get angry, just my opinion.

All this 3 or 4 years warranty is a gimmick by Proton, Perodua, etc.

You must not send your car to any unauthorised workshop, rendering your
car's warranty null and void.

But meanwhile, you have no choice but to send your car to them and they
will charge you higher for all the services, for the next 3 or 4 years.
Probably, if they charge you 25% more each time you send your car for
servicing, you would have spent quite a lot over the 4 years...for the
sake of warranty!

That's where they skin you on top of paying ridiculous prices for the
car!

danny u real sor chai.

my test drive report more than a week ago. copied from latest news.

As you all may be aware from my postings, i am not really a big fan of
the
local automotive industry, all my life have been 2nd hand Contis and 1
time Honda. i always knock these local cars hard for what they are.

yesterday, i was in KL, had a bit of a free time so i had a good look at
this sutera, and took it for a test drive. The car i drove was the yellow
GSi at PJ Naza Automall. Head salesman who atteneded to me at PJ
Automall -
Mr. Aziz i dunno his full name hough

I had a good thorough quick look at the car. The font end was better than
i had expected. The rear was ugly to me, but that depends on the
individual. Too ah beng and ultraman taro to me.

Much better than Savvy though. the car i got had about 500 kms plus on
the
odometer, so i think some of the parts may still be `tight`. Comes with
the normal standard laminated windscreen.

I opened up the hood and also bent down to have a good look at the chasis
and under the engine. Layout is simple and serviablity should not be an
issue. Room for the hand is generous unlike Savvy and some Italian cars.
typical Jap layout. Cable clutch just like some of the econoboxes out
there. Salesman told me the car, actually he showed me a chart, but i
cant
remember everything.......goes something like uses Mineral Mach 5
Petronas
10W-30

2.5 litres and Transmission Petronas 80-90. Unlike Savvy`s long interval,
oil change is the tradiaonal 5K and filter every 10K. plugs, gear oil and
fuel filter at every 40K , coolant every 80K,timing chain no need to
change, air filter 20K, etc etc tec...preety normal and maintainence
shouldnt be an issue. Saw the power assisted rack and pinion steering as
found in normal cars. not sure if it is multiplex wiring like the Savvy
but throttle is the normal and proven good old throttle cable....nothing
fancy like drive by wire or things like that.

however there was no heat protecive shield on the chasis from the
manifold
to the muffler though, something i feel is necessary.

I don`t like the exhaust pipe finisher (square). Just adds cost and
weight
to car..i think.. I took the car from the automall to Rothmans
roundabout.
Aziz was sitting next to me all the time.

I have to say I am quite impressed. Build quality not bad for a car of
this price level. Seat fabric is something different. Quite nice, not as
comfy and soft as the Savvy though, but accecptable. Improvements can be
donw the foot /pedal area, i feel the curves are too dangerous and cheap.
Fog lights operated by a button next to remote door mirror control. front
and back also got seat belts...

MP3 CD Player + tweeters a nice touch. reverse sensor also. saves a
couple of hundred from the shop and Iswara doesn`t even have this. Iswara
can die.

It has Remote electric door mirrors are beyond this car`s price category
actually, and to be honest controls could be a bit more positive.
Nonetheless they are something you will not be adjusting them everyday so
I give thumbs up.

Wiper switch is the tradional `Euro` style, so you have to get used to
them. No problem for me aaand those who are used to continentals.
Certainly not a big fuss.

The frontWipers flip out on hinges on outer sides. Peugeot 307 & New
Civic
also use this setup. some may not like it, but i find it to be OK. Unique
and following the trend at least.

Shifter has travel which is a bit too long for my taste.smooth and
positive. Good for daily driving without having to resort to mascular
arms - good for ladies although an automatic should be good.

Suspension/Ride & Handling is quite good - on par with the other
econoboxes out there. Comes with Comes with 165/55R14 alloys and Goodyear
rubbers, i tink Ducaros, forgot already. Front is vented discs and rear
is
drum. Not sure what`s the PCD though. if jap size, then plenty of
aftermarket rims for bee: FreĦ#danny u real sor chai.
