It is stated very clearly in the warranty booklet that it is for 2 years of
50k km whichever comes first.

We might be right or wring..and/or the SA might be right/wrong...shall the
car came along with extended warranty till 5 years/100k, we should receive
an insurance or sort of cert...i do receive similar for my perodua
car...written in its text book only 2 years..but with extended warranty up
to 5 years.

The 5-year warranty offered to certain Kia models is not an extended
warranty that is offered by an insurance company. It is a factory warranty.

Therefore, please do not expect to receive a certificate for an additional
3 years of warranty as there won't be any.

The warranty period for a Naza Rondo is 2 years or 50k km (whichever comes
first) and there is no provision for an extended warranty.

Let's not confuse would-be buyers, shall we? :)

Important Info to share : before i decided this car, i've called their
carelines to verify on the warranty, yes CONFIRMED is 2 years or 50,000KM,
whichever comes first. As for the extended Warranty, they have yet
released the price. There is 1 condition the telephonist told me the price
will release for the extended warranty in 2 months time, as long our
milages does not hits 30,000km we are entitle to buy the extended warranty
packages. The Citra 1 was listed RM 800.00 for the package of 3 years
warranty.

Correct, there is no ready stock for Urban Grey unless you are ready to
wait. In fact, in EXS trim, there is no ready stock at all as all units are
allocated once they come out of the factory.

There is ready stock for EX in all colours except for Urban Grey. Reason
being, Urban Grey was not offered in the 1st batch of cars.

I booked mine 19th September and I am only getting my car this week. This
will give you a gauge of the wait required for an Urban Grey.

When I first booked my Rondo in late Dec'08, my wife specifically asked for Urban Grey. On assurance by the salesman, we put in a deposit and also the full d/p when the loan was approved a few days late

In fact, he was lying to us as we waited for 1 month before I confronted the manager and was told there was no more Urban Grey planned.

I actually cancelled the order and went around looking atthe stream and wish but becoz of the hassle of getting the refund decided to carry on with the purchase. The manager called us and said there was a unit of Rondo with a similar colour to Urban Grey, new for 2009.

My wife was already smitten with the Stream then but I managed to persuade to accept the Rondo again in view of the trouble with the refund. Also the Stream did not have the centre arm rest or the sunglass storage compartment and the seating was quite low.
My wife has been driving the Honda Odyssey and is used to the high seating position and the arm rest.

We settled then for the Titanium Grey/Silver and am very happy with it as it is a much nicer colour.

Wow, against all odds you still choose Naza Rondo. Must be destined to buy this car. happy.gif

Congrats on your purchase. Hope you and your wife will appreciate Rondo more now. In any case, its sad to hear of your case. But thats what salesman are. Some of them are really unethical and can be such an ass in making empty promises.

I myself almost bought Naza Citra I the day I want to pay my deposit. Luckily, that was the day Rondo was officially launched. And after confronting my sales agent, I quickly cancelled my booking for Citra I and went to another Naza Showroom and ordered the Rondo. My loan simply has to adjusted and transfered to a different branch without having to cancel it. I was quite angry with the salesman because he purposely kept quite about the new Rondo coming out. I dunno why, probably he was trying to push sales for old stock Citra, which I concluded that this guy doesn't deserve my business.

I'll need to check out the Titanium Silver again because when I glanced at it on a passing car trailer, I didn't quite like the shade which appeared to be a beige-silver-grey mix.

You are very fortunate not to settle for the Stream as apart from the things you mentioned, the Stream:
- has insufficient interior lamps to light up the entire cabin. There is only 1 solitary roof lamp in the centre of the car. The Rondo has 2 roof lamps.
- does not have lit vanity mirrors. On a RM150k+ car, I find this not acceptable
- the lack of a front row arm rest is fine PROVIDED that the space there is left as a walk-through space but instead, we get a couple of cupholders and a huge open compartment that does not allow for walk-through. A lack of foresight on Honda's part
- the 1.8 litre engine. I don't care how many valves it has and how many speeds the gearbox it is mated to has, the lump in the Stream just does not have the juice to move a fully-laden vehicle. The Rondo's engine is already one of the strongest in its class and I could do with a bit more torque.
- insufficient compartments for a family with children
- a terrible beige interior which is not practical for families with children
- yes......low car. Try lifting a 15kg kid into a child seat in a low car. Make sure you have a chiropractor's number on hand!

A pointless exercise lah, the Malaysian Stream. My friend has one registered a week before my Rondo. I did not know he was buying the Stream and he did not know I was buying the Rondo. We met up during Christmas and did a comparison. Without even factoring in the price, the Rondo was scoring more ticks on the checklist. He rolled his eyes when I told him how much the Rondo cost.
