hi Ronan, No it's not! Lots of transmission problems and more recently
engine problems due to the quality of diesel here. Don't be fooled by the
3 year warranty, if anything goes wrong your Sorento can be sitting at the
SC for more than 4 MONTHS!!! whilst NAZA... a) figure out what to do,...
and b) order the correct parts which take another 3 months to arrive by
bananna boat from Korea, then you have to wait for the Korean specialist
to arrive in another bananna boat to tell the NAZA boys how to fix it.!
Enjoy!Smile

vhchiew, it's worse than that if you own one. My neighbour has one since
December 2005 and it's spent more time in the workshop than on the road.
He says Setapak SC clueless!, they get new service manager every 2 months,
and the mechanics play wheelies with your car and exchange parts with
their friends!!!

.....and more recently engine problems due to the quality of diesel here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's why I am a bit worried about these common rail injection diesel
engine like those fitted in Toyota Hilux Vigo. But don't seem to hear that
much complaint from Toyota so may be they are better?

Dear guys,
I think my naza sorento was the first phase one. Get my car early this
year, done my alignment 4 times already still the same. Recently is the
worst one, sent my car to the authorised sc in USJ, they did till my
sterring not balance and nuts also spoiled. Asked me to go to jln tandang
to repair. Now my car need to rest at home to wait for the camber kids to
arrive.

I hate to go to their sc, but no choice due to warranty. If you want to
buy the car, must test the alignment, absorber, break and what ever your
think you want to test and confirm the car. Once confirmed, get the chasis
number and engine number.

Good luck.

no such thing as "first phase one", they are all of the same phase. The
pull to the left is not a camber/alignment problem, but a transfer box
problem as you will shortly discover. The SC, to cover up the problem and
hope you go away, will change the tyre pressure on the offside front to
compensate, so you drive away happy and they laughing and going back to
what they do best....nothing!
edmundser, you don't need to go back to their SC, you can go to an
authorised shop, like Leo's on old klang road, (for servicing) and this
will keep your warranty, for what it's worth. The trouble will come when
you need to do warranrty work, like replace your transfer box....they will
stall, and stall and stall and stall and 6 months later still not
fixed....sorry man, seen it happen to my neighbour. The Sorento is a dog's
dinner.Angry

I have never heard of transfer box giving alignment problem. Please tell me
more.

From experience, 4WD can drive straight without alignment problem. Before I
wised up, I was given all sorts of excuses like.....road not level to drain
off water.....all are like that lah......

Either way, if it doesn't move straight, something must be wrong ranging
from simple alignment to chassis problem. My 2 sen.

Kaylcar,

I bought the car from Leo, old klang road. I serviced my car 1000km at
the sc. I did complain to then about the pulling left problem. The result
still the same. As I was at their appointed workshop, the indo worker put
my front left tyre air pressure up to 46. This is to balance up my car
since my car is pulling to the left. What the F***it is, I complaint to
the workshop boss and she asked her worker to put back to 35. I am sure
its up to their skill limit already and spoken to the Leo sc`s manager,
indian guy and he ask me to go to jln tandang.

I went to jln tandang for 2 times also they are unable to rectify for
me. After the USJ`s authorised sc`s "good work", I have to refer back to
jln tandang for the third time as they are the branch. Now, I did call up
to the careline and log a report. If really cannot work, I need to call
their head already. I got his handphone number.

Last time, the naza will lend you a car if your naza`s car is under
repair BUT now no more already.

Hope my nitemare will go away from me veryyyyyy veryyyy soon.

Cheers...
