Hello,

when the car is moving, i can heard some 'wobling' sound (something is
shaking)from the engine. seem like something is not tighten properly but
very light sound & the sound is obvious when the road is uneven.

Anyone got any idea?

one of my front absorber is leaking, could it be the culprit? if i change
the original absorber, how much it cost? understand that other part like
absorber mounting rubber, etc need to be change as well. all together how
much? do i need to replace both absorber or just the spoiled one?

I think it would be best to replace a pair, if 1 rosak, replace both left
and right

usually the mechanic will inform whether you need to replace other parts
or not

get the good brand although I never used them, perhaps when mine start to
leak then I will get the goods

the goods(PEUGOET or SACHS) can be expensive... but according to the guys
here.. it's worth the money spent

well zx2005, since you abs is spoilt you have to replace both and make sure
you replace the abs mounting as well. If your car is a few years old and
you have not change your lower arm bushes, please make sure you change them
also to prevent the same sound after you change your abs. Becos lower arm
bushes can also make that wobling sound when you go over uneven road. My ZX
is also experiencing the same problem like your for 2 years and each time
after changing each component the same sound appears and in the end I needs
to change the abs mounting and lower arm bushes as well. Now the car is
back to normal.

let the diesel master have a look to determine the actual cause...

absorbers... if original won't give much problems despite leaking... i
drove around for 2 years with leaking absorbers in the front with no
problems... in fact i still outran and outcornered a helluva lot of other
cars... (hmmm now come to think of it... maybe it was the "wobble" that
kept them away.... NOT) my car never wobbled nor did it ever have a
wobbling "sound"...

in terms of the diesel... the wobbly feeling would most likely be the
engine mountings as the diesel engine would be heavier and therefore the
feeling of the "wobbliness" (if ever there's such a word - well there is
now Big Smile )

so check your engine mountings... most likely one or more have broken...

zx2005... there are two engine mountings... one called the "gasing" which
is on top and the other underneath... then a third mounting would be the
gearbox mounting... either one of these could cause the wobble...

price wise... not sure... i think the "gasing" costs close to RM200 whereas
the lower one would be around RM100... remember only go for originals... no
fake crap... they don't last... esp for a diesel... as for the gearbox
mounting... sorry no idea... never changed mine before...

016-221644 should help to solve the problem... and also give a good look
around of anything else that may crop up...

May i ask how to i check if the power steering or top engine mounting

the component before able to check the problem.

How much is the power steering mounting?

HA??? power steering mounting? what's that lar? i dunno... never heard of it...

top engine mounting can check by looking at it carefully... you'll see
either a hairline crack or a really bad crack depending on severity...
sometimes cannot see until taken out... if bottom engine mounting... need
to use rod to check... if dunno cannot tell... gearbox mounting... need to
take off to check...

The sound comes from right handside (hear inside the car), so i suspect is
engine mounting as gearbox is at the left.

Power steering mounting? got this thing not? but 1 thing i notice is that
sometime when the car is idle, i turn the steering left/right& feels some
the steering got a bit wobling.

Heard from my mechanics is the ' fan plate' for the power steering, could
it be the cuplrit for the wobling noise?
