HAHAHAHAHAHA
100th post!!!!
MINE!!!!!!
wallace.......
Actually Steven's been very good with the Enterprise sorting out all things (except hydraulics)
pretty well. The thing is the harness that's on the Enterprise is so far gone that I think replacing it
would just make better sense in the long term. And of course when you're with an XM you can
only think long term.
Hehehehe......
Surjit hasn't seen much of the Enterprise lately and Steven's been doing most of the work leaving
Surjit to deal with the stuff he does best- hydraulics. I'm happy because Steven's strong at
mechanicals, pretty ok with electricals but zero at hydraulics. Surjit on the other hand is pretty
good with hydraulics but well....... let's just say that if he was capable of handling the electrics
and the various mechanical bits he would have done so before handing the car back to me lah.
Ah Huat on the other hand has an excellent track record (in my book at least) with sorting out
dodgy European electronics.... hope he doesn't spoil his so-far perfect score with the
Enterprise..... *gulp*
We'll see how it goes with Ah Huat.... but again what I'm asking him to do is peanuts compared
to what you're contemplating with the C5. Be careful bro...... once electrics are messed up it
takes a heck of a lot to put it right again.......

Aha, yea, i am aware that my idea on playing about with the C5 is
possibly impossible, i dunno & as i said still many many things i need to
know about this car in detail, which is what exactly sparked my interest
when you mentioned auto electrician and a good one that is, i am for sure
not looking and wanting to deal with some buta huruf backyard wireman who
can only wire cars with fuses less than the total number of my
fingers ....but then since he did a Montreal, that should be interesting.
Ah Huat........yea we shall see & only time will tell.

Shaite, missed the 100th post, beaten by DD! xbfy, silicone not so good
cos sometimes have to remove the cover to clean the filters. Then it will
be very messy and the silicone may fall into LHM or wedge between the
cover. Since wallace's one lasted 1 year, its about that, then light
seepage occurs but not as bad, so still worth to change it.

Hi wallace.....
Oh no.. this guy is dead serious. Certainly not your normal backyard wireman of the type we all
know and avoid so well.
Actually I'm more impressed with the RR and XJ40 than the Montreal. These are very similar to
our cars- at least in the electronics department i.e. extensive, sophisticated and dead dodgy. I'm
fully aware that it's not going to be easy to rewire the Enterprise (and that it might all end in
tears) but I'm hoping that with this guy's ability to deliver other sparkymobiles in working order,
the fact that he'lll have complete harnesses to work with and a wire diagram to show him the
way, he'll sort the unholy mess that is the Enterprise's electrics at the moment.
Well I say unholy mess but about 99% of the empirical troubles have been sorted out by Steven
and me over the past week or so i.e. the car is running pretty smoothly most of the time and
everything more or less works as it should. It's just the state of the wiring (bits of uninsulated
wire hanging loose- some of them live although I've taped up those I could find, cracked
insulation, damaged connectors held together with wire ties, whole bundles of wire shoved into
whichever cranny was handy at the time and so on) that gives me the heebie-jeebies.
I know that there is at least one more live wire lurking about in the engine bay (the supply to the
fuel pump relay) and I'll sleep a lot better once I've found that and taped it up.
Sheesh...... it's great to sit in the cabin and watch all the pretty lights in the dashboard and all the
gee-whiz displays and everything.... but I still dunno if it's worth the miles of wiring (and French
wiring at that) that makes it all work- if you're lucky.
I'd still say a 2 litre XM is a better starter Citroen than the v6....... but if james really wants to
jump in at the deep end....... well... I'll help him all I can.....
Hehehehehe
Oh btw james..... I think we have an appointment to go see the 2k car this Friday afternoon at
about 4. The car is in Kajang (sorry) and not Bangi as previously reported.
How?
