Hi guys,

I am going to be an owner of a citroen zx 2.0i manual soon a least until
my loan get cleared. Before this, I have driven various other car such as
bimmer 318 e30, merc e320, honda civic vtec & prelude, perdana v6, waja,
kelisa etc....In fact I have never driven a citroen until recently and
totally fell in love with the cars handling, comfort, torque and power.

I have read through this forum which I discovered by accident and which I
was surprised existed in Malaysia. Before this I thought citroens are a
dying brand in Malaysia and I can't remember when is the last time I see a
citroen on the road or maybe I just ignored it's existence.

Now, finding a place like this and you guys to guide me through my future
citroen experience, I feel much better and rather safe. I am looking
forward to chatting with you all and gathering all kinds of knowledge from
the cream of citroen owners.

Docsj.

p/s any trusted mechanics around subang jaya if I encounter any problem
later?

Question for all the veteran owners of the ZX model. Could you all
highlight to me the major problems that i could encounter with this car
(mainly engine and gearbox). If I know, I could get ready or pay more
attention to the details.

hahaha,

like they say,"ignorance is bliss"

but it's good to be prepared

it's been a roller coaster ride for me for the past 6 months, that
piece of sai dealer, he gave me sleepless nights over the loan. but now,
that's settled.

for me, the major thing was the rear wheels. I didn't realise it until
one day, I thought that the rear wheels were a little awkward. they
were ... lo and behold! like this /
800 and 2.5 days without my car the wheels are || ever since

the blasted mechanic charged me 500 to repair the second fan saying
that he put a new one. it doesn't look like new, it looks repaired.

then the au-ta paint job on the bumper cost me 300, and now the paint
has started to peel and crack.

I changed the rubber stopper for the hot water for RM4.5, that's four
ringgit and fifty sen. I think can get cheaper lah. anyway, four fifty is
not that big. although now, I'm looking for the second rubber stopper, one
for the inlet and the outlet. anybody changed that before?

then my tyres had to go, all four of them. I got silverstone for about
140 each, the ones with V patterns. not too bad. ok, ok, let's not start a
debate but to me, a tyre is a tyre.

there a few others which need attention but the car still goes happily
such as:

1)steering, it's heavy at times, some suspect the steering damper but some
recommend looking into the steering servo
2)stepper motor, I think it's dead
3)clutch, it wouldn't engage!!! but it right itself after 5 days, fact can
be stranger than fiction

this is all that I think of off-hand

hi all...nice to hear a lot more new members coming-in. I'm sure you'll
enjoy the new "feeling". My wife drives the car a lot and she really loves
it..I always have to find excuses drive to the Cit..hehe. Seriously
looking for one more for myself if "RM" permits laa

My advise to all you new guys..pay lots of attention to the relay/switch
or sensor. The engine mainly is quite reliable (but do service regularly),
it's the sensor that give a lot of problems especially the fan sensor and
relay. If this fails, the temp will rise and you'll get a hack of
problems. And if U go to the wrong workshop, they'll change the
unnecessary parts & potong U kaw-kaw. Parts and servicing Cit are quite
cheap now, so do your research first.

Well...think it's time to join the Pangkor trip right??..so come-on guys,
register laaa
