Hey, another buddy on the lookout for Evasion !
fido,
i figured, as for myself, that if it were to cost more than 80K , I might
as well consider the Odyssey
I doubt there is an auto year 2000 coz I thought auto came out sometime in
2001 ; I may be wrong
As for Manual Y2K ; found a few around 69 - 80K

Hi,
Just did my 60,000km service (change engine-oil and oil filter) and
timing belt. Here the cost:
1. Timing belt+ 2 bearings + 3 oil-seals (camshaft + crankshaft) = RM475
2. Spark-plug - SAGEM Fxx (don't remember) - RM60.
3. Labour - RM170
Mine is Ev-16v.

Even I have friends (Service & Marketing) at Directional, I believe it is
OK to go outside for servicing the car. I checked the price at Directional
for 8v only to do such job, it is really far from what i've been charged
for 16v. So I better stick with my mechanic that been served for my zx 16v
and 8v. I did at AFA Service, Tmn Sentosa, Jln Kelang Lama.
About part, I've checked with these 2 shops only:
Asli Auto WH Auto
Timing Belt+bearings 570 400
Camshaft+Crankshaft oil-seal 101 75
The reason why I refer to only these 2 shops: The shops located on the way
from my office to the workshop.

Dear Ri,
Is Wh Auto the one in jln kuchai Lama or the one in gombak? Seems
like they're cheaper compare to asli auto, based on the timing
belt+bearings price that you mentioned.
Thanks in advance..

sorry for bumping an old thread, but I'm trying to gather info on the
citroen evasion.
as can be seen here:
clicky
I'm looking for an mpv (helping someone) around the rm60k budget range. A
quick look in the classifieds and I found 2 evasions on sale. I'm
interested in them since so far the biggest displacement manual (prefered
over auto) mpv I've found, and the purchase price is relatively low.
however I've never owned a conti vehicle before and is not well versed in
conti vehicle servicing, maintainance & spare parts costs. Therefore any
pointers or help would be much appreciated, thank you. :)

if i have an option (16v) either manual or auto transmission to choose
from, I'll go for manual. Other than that, is identical. I'm more concern
about gearbox. There's a few sensors and it valve body need to be worry
about.
