I was wondering why our UK/Euro counterparts in XTD were having such high
mileage of 50mpg when mine does only 32mpg. BFY have discovered why when
his air-con broke down when travelling outstation. His accidental
experiment yielded RM42/55lt/1100km = 5.0lt/100km = 56mpg! That's for long
distance travel whereas my 32mpg is city driving with aircon on.

I'm using BP. Maybe should try out Petronas and see the difference. Try
searching the diesel forum and see what they say about diesel brands.

For diesel I will go where all the lorries and buses line up.I dont go
for any particular brand. Some of the guys on the diesel forum says the
best diesel is a fresh diesel.

The best diesel you should uise is Esso or Petronas ,they come
from our olfields and are high quality low sulphur.

I am not sure if Esso or Petronas is the best but I do know that the oil
from Malaysian oilfields are exported due to their high quality. The fuels
that we get from our stations might have come from our local refineries
but the crude being process is not local crude.

There is a claim that Petronas diesel does plug up some minor leaks in the
fuel pump. Wonder how it did that and whether its good or bad for our
engines besides the good side of plugging up minor leaks.
