i still don't understand y their r still people complaint abt. spare parts
problem as it's widely avail. fr. most parts shops.
most of the parts are similar to mazda's!

as for the drv shaft problem. many faulty drv shafts were caused by torn
drv shaft cover. many people not aware of this. so it's advisable to chck
your drv shaft cover once a while.
i was lucky as 1 of the cover was broken & it was detected at early stage
b4 any damage incurred on the shaft joint.
cover cost me rm12 "made in japan type" & labour - rm30

Chrislyv,

Regarding the drive shaft cover, it is an original Kia one or the
compatible one. I heard that Sentra drive shaft cover can be used for
Sephia. Any idea ?

Hello Pabing,

I can confirm that Sentra drive shaft cover is suitable for Sephia,
because I had mine changed about a year ago. The cover cost me rm25,
workmanship rm30, grease (that put inside the cover to protect the joint)
RM5.

Also, I agree totally with your comments on Sephia. My gear shift jerking
problem (which you had experienced it in my car) has been annoying me
since the day one I took delivery of the car. None of the SC can fix it.

That's why I told myself no more Korean car for me, at least for sure I
will not buy a KIA until they have improve their quality.

Kingsway,

Thanks for the info.

Another bad luck for me this morning. My Sephia air-con compressor gave up
this morning after several checks with mechanics. Now I am in the delimma
whether to replace the compressor or replace the whole car !!!!????!!!![:

Pabing,

Got budget change the car.
No budget change the compressor.

I heard some other brand also can fit in. No need must use back KIA
compressor.

fyi.. my mechanic used nissan drive shaft cover. besides nissan, can use
other models as long as it's abt. the same size.

abt. the a/c compressor. have u guyz send your a/c for service?
it's advisable to get the a/c system serviced every 1.5 - 2 yrs.
besides cleaning the condenser & most important, replacing/top-up the
compressor oil.
this is to avoid pre-mature a/c condenser leakage & compressor jam!

broken and cause the engine over heat...actually i'm on the way to batu
pahat...but it happen at kulai...and luckily my brother in law stay

minutes later start again the engine and get there....

and then next morning i call the dealer to fix it,of course FOC cause it
just running about 60KM....The question is...the temperature still
maintain almost half of the temperature meter after replace a new
belt...is it a normal situation with your guy's sephia...and one more
thing, how to reduce the fuel consumption of sephia..any idea?....

better have ur engine's thermostat checked. maybe be damaged due to the
over-heating.

shld always send your car for check-up if u purchase a 'used' car.

temp. meter reading shld be below 1/2.

Kingsway,

Actually I am frustrated and lost hope of the car. Seems like "kereta tak
jaga tuan" instead "tuan yang kena jaga kereta lebih-lebih"...no mutual
understanding between me and my Sephia.
