btw, hyundai car owner get 20% discount when service their hyundai car at
Eon service center ....
But I sill think .. why buy a hyundai Accent .... yes is RM60K around ...
but in term of maintain I'm sure higher then national car ... and the
resell value is lower the it ... what for waste those money???? save it
then few year later go for higher range car ....
for me if buy hyundai car just like caught in middle of range car... I
rather stay at lower range then few year later upgrade to upper range ..
isn't it good????
But if you really want to keep it for whole life go ahead ...

Accent is a cheapo car. dun expect too much. but it should be sold at 45K
if not for the taxes. but considered a good car by Msians bcos many
Msians won't buy any Ploton again.... Marketted overseas as a cheapo and
reliable car....results... almost a million sold...
Waja..dem 9 ugly car and low quality.... buy when you think Accent is too
small or cheap looking for a foreign car....marketted overseas as BMW
equivalent but foreigners say it is utter crap...
Anyway, Waja cheaper than Accent... save some money can go repair power
window...
For me, i'll buy neither....

"..why u still driving SEG?".
Well, my car is a full paid car. Why get a new car a start paying high
installment & insurance premium again?
I don`t own an Accent but I test drive a unit.

One of those refer to the tax situation in Malaysia and thus the prices of
the non-national SHOULD be actually cheaper. Because of this, it's better
to buy the non-national cars. ??? What? Hello, whatever the tax
situation, you still have to pay with your hard-earned ringgit. I
completely agree that it is very unfair system, but end of the day, you
still have to decide with your wallet! In the end, RM68K for a boring el-
cheapo Hyundai Accent (1.5 mid size) or RM65K for a good looking Waja (1.6
family sedan)??
One more comment was from ranii: "Waja dem 9 ugly". You must be blind.
The major disadvantage that the Waja faces in terms of design is the same
thing afflicting the Wiras and Sagas in Malaysia. Because of too many on
the road, it can get boring looking at the Wajas. But basic design wise,
it is still a great looking car.

Well, to buy a car, the most important is your financial capabilities.
It's also to consider what is your criteria, needs and expectation of a
car.
I agree all cars have their pros and cons as mentioned earlier.
Since the car price increased this year...It's relatively we can see what
we can get for the price we pay.
No doubt Toyota has built their image in automobile industry of their
engine durability.
No doubt Proton cars are relatively cheaper and lower quality than others
car especially the accessories (power windows and etc).
No doubt Honda has built a very strong and powerful engine.
and others etc.
This is my experienced.
I've just brought a brand new Accent for my wife this year. Before this, I
do not know much about Hyundai's cars until I read the NST newspaper on
car section. It is a good buy for RM67K
All my thought this while is getting either Honda and Toyota comparing
Vios and City. Both are good cars value at RM75-85K each.
Remember this, extra specs on the car excise tax will be higher.
As example with Airbags which Hyundai don't have...
It's all depends on you driving skill, if you think u need it...better get
one....anyhow 1 time used only. =)
I'm totally agree all cars must have airbags as in automobile safety
regulations.
I decided on Accent though on few reasons:
1) A very safe car ranked overall 4 stars on NHTSA test in US.
2) Fuzzy Logic tranmissions
3) Spare parts are locally made (Hyundai original parts) which cheaper
than Japanese parts
4) Represented by a reputable dealers and Service center(Kah Bintang)
5) The car interior/exterior looks relatively decent and good.
6) On performance, even though on SOHC, is acceptable.
7) Of course my wife likes it =)
After all this research and talking to ppl, get something which fit to
your pocket. Indeed, these days Hyundai cars are getting better and better.
Of course all of us are proud and support our own car coz we chose to buy
it!! right? and stop comparing cars price oversea which is meaningless.
Want to get cheap and good car...the nearest, do migrate to Aust, you will
get a camry not more than AUS$40000.....hehehe...
And lastly, If I can afford a BMW or MERC plus maintainance, why hesitate
to own one.........
