ranii,

Current batch of Accent come with Fuzzy Logic AT and controlled by ECU
chip. Perdana has this but without ECU chip. Accent's strong assembly line
make up for quality comparable with those Toyotas makers. With new
computerize dashboard intruments and good FC, this price is good already.

You should test drive an Accent to feel the punch of of its engine before
further your comments.

I test drove an Accent last year. I agree that it is a decent car but I
dun think Oriental/KB doing a very good job assembling it bcos the edges
are rough and gaps are unequal. If you look at the hazard light switch.
It is printed off-centre. I felt it is only marginally better than
ploton. Maybe not Hyundai's fault but maresia boreh assembly workers.

By the way, I honestly WANTED to buy this car. I waited for it to be
launched since KLIM2003. I prefered the hatchback though and I was
disappointed when they are only selling the sedan model. I went to the SC
several times to look and re- look and test drove. The engine is fine but
the finishing was not good. Reminded me of the low quality Waja
finishing. I pointed out all the bad finishing to the sales assistant and
he was absolutely speechless. The only thing he told me was that it is
20k cheaper than Vios and City and cannot be compared to them. I wasn't
amused by the fake indicator light at the wheel arch.
At the end I decided to keep my old car and save some money.
I have looked at the Accent owners forum and they all say the FC is high.
So, I'm not sure how the ECU helped.

"Fyi..original oil filter comparison between Hyundai vs. Toyota - RM11 vs.
RM18. That works out Toyota parts more expensive than Hyundai part by
63%!!!!"

i wanna ask you, the oil filter u mean is for which model of hyundai &
toyota? pls dont compare accent with big CC engine toyota.

by the way, be honest pls, i wanna ask you, how many times u saw Toyota
brokedown at the side of road? this will answer you the maintaince of the

ahpin,

Aiya damn frust when I see Thai Vios only RM40K, Jazz RM45K and I just
bought Vios for RM77,538. That is like almost double and that is the
price I have to pay for a entry-level REAL CAR. Then I see the bloody ex
(P)uki (M)akhathir driving Porsche Cayenne, his children all drive Brabus
Mercedes, Ferrari and he the bloody mother fXXker who started the whole
mess does not even drive a Potong. Lagi become Proton Special Advisor.
Tiu nya seng! That mother fXXker sure burn in hell the day he kick the
bucket. On the road last year, I saw DRB boss Salleh Sulong in a brand
new 7-Series BMW (that buggaero was also the EON overall big boss at one
time and EON was the main distributor of Potong and that mother fXXker
also don`t drive Potong despite selling them). These individuals who are
literally forcing their lousy f**ked up products down everyone`s throats
themselves don`t even use them and they are openly shameless about it. No
wonder Malaysia`s business ethics (and moral standards) have dropped so
much. Does Toyota / GM /Daimler-Chrysler /Honda /Ford /Fiat /BMW CEO or
Directors use competitors` products?? Where got meaning?

I still think is not worth to buy hyundai car ..due to the engine still in
a develop stage ... I read from magz. that's why they call Alpha.Beta ...
now toyota/honda/mitsu all going into GDI or .. VVIT .. even P2 also ..
but Hyundai still using old type of Mitsu engine that is why they said
fuel usage high....
