An average car.
The new one are 1.6L but I don't know wheather the rear brake have been
upgraded to the discs system or not?
Hyundai have highier noise level normally.
Reliable and acceptable performance engine with good fuel consumption.ThumbUp
Easy to maintain. Genuine sparepart prices are quite dear.

Conclusion.......worth for your bucks, go for it!ThumbUp

Go for TOYOTA VIOS or HONDA CITY, both car also value for money, FC is
ThumbUp, performance also good & Japanese car spare parts confirm cheaper
than those Korean car....

a good friend of mine has been driving his accent for the past 6
months...so far so good, no power window problem Big Smile. this was one of
the reason why he didn't get a proton, got fed-up with proton
cars...hahaha!

in terms of performance, dun expect much...it's more of a family car.

handling??? again, dun expect much, it's a family car....but acceptable.

in terms of comfort ThumbUp. good NVH for a car in this range. comfy,
most of the bumps and holes are well absorbed, not bad. i stil remember
when we test drove the car, the sales man "forced" us to accelerate over
bumps and holes. Hahahaha.

interior quality ThumbUp. no rattle and squeeks. and the material used is
not bad.

anyway, test drive the car yourself and rate it.

I recommend the Honda City I-Dsi version if you have a small family and
Vios if you are one of the speed devils. In terms of performance, not
much difference if you drive in the city most times. In fact, Honda City
is much more fuel-efficient than any cars in its class. Vios although
have higher engine output than the I-Dsi City but interior looks cheap
and drab. If you want better output, go for the V-Tec version and upgrade
it to 16 inch rim. In that way, you have looks and power.

PotenzaG3,

Fyi..original oil filter comparison between Hyundai vs. Toyota - RM11 vs.
RM18. That works out Toyota parts more expensive than Hyundai part by
63%!!!!.

Anyway, I test drive Accent 1.5 (A) on 19/3/05. Though small in cabin but
engine is more willing to rev than a new Waja. Even tried its Elantra but
Accent fare better in engine performance. Cause feel more easy to rev and
got punchy feeling.

Fc is somewhere RM10 for 90km and anytime better than Avanza! I like its
gadget e.g. Estimate fuel to mileague indicator, Average speed indicator
and FC consumption indicator.

This is a good buy.

Pls take some time to look at Taiwan car magazine .... you will realize
Hyundai car is actually very cheap ... just like Matrix at Taiwan only
sell RM45K +/-. Why refer to Taiwan b'cos there already goes in WTO ...
Tax free.
Why have to know their original price .... b'cos worth to money ma .... if
for you to choose;
1) cost is RM50, sell at RM90, or
2)cost is RM50, sell at RM60????
but it all depend individual, some people like it shape ... some
like .... So ask your self what U like ....
