Some of the fuel consumption that you guys put are simply impossible.
Please calculate accurately or it'll just mislead people. Impossible my
fren. Impossible.

Even new car like myvi manual can only do 17km/l highway with dvvt.

And some old underpower wira can do 17km/l on highway? True or not?

I think we should have a standard method of FC measurement...
1) Fill your tank full (until the pump stops)
2) Reset your trip meter
3) Go driving to work etc. until the needle shows about a quarter fuel
left
4) Go to gas station & Jpt down your trip (how many km?)
5) Fill up till full again (til pump stops sgain)
6) Jot down the Litter involved (you can also record RM for RM/km calc)

Formula:
km/L = km that you jot down / Litter that you jot down
RM/km = RM that you jot down / km that you jot down

Now, go back and do your FC calc again before starting to mislead people
again. Hope this helps.

gogo2,

it is possible for those older carbureted Protons to achieve FC figures
higher than that of the equivalent EFI-engined models, because the carbs
can run very lean if you tune it to do so, and there's no emission control
with carbureted engines, or oxygen sensor & ECU to compensate things.
