the biggest heaviest more powerful cars are always more comfortable for
long distance.

Bigger cars have more moving parts consumes more fuel and cost more to
maintain, both in engine and tyres. So, do balance this out when
considering to buy..

Citroen Picasso 2.0l (RM125k) or Citroen C4 1.6l (RM130k) which is Conti
cars loaded with comfort, electronically display and functions plus safety
features minus the big buck of RM160k.

I would go for a new Camry 2.0E. It's very comfortable at speeds up to
160km/h,still feels very relaxed after long distance drives. Also, it
gives relatively good fuel consumption.Have been monitoring mine for the
past 6 months, avg 10km/l on a mixture of 30% highway, 70% town driving.
With more long distance driving, will be even more economical.
Also, it's very reliable and very good quality.
Have been driving a Continental car, Citroen Xantia 1.9TD for the past 6
years before switching to the Camry.Initially, felt that Xantia still
rides better but taking all factors into account ie. reliability, relaxed
driving etc, I would rate Camry as the better choice.
Plus, great resale value when you need to sell it later.

But I found the Camry's steering very dull and don't know which way the
tires are pointed....compared to say....same class Honda Accord.

For 160K, can get a new Accord or Camry.

Both big and comfortable cruisers. Being new, chances of breaking down is
minimal. Even if it does, it's still covered by warranty. Spare parts are
easily available. Some more got free services upto 40K. And there are
plenty of Service Centres all over the country. Good resale value.

The best long hauler, to me at least, should have a turbodiesel under the
hood if FC is a concern.

i like japan car.

since your company based in singapore, why don't you choose the TEANA
(fully import from Japan). it's still called cefiro in Singapore.

it's one class higher than current camry and can compete with some model
of Lexus too.

the price maybe on the higher side because the car in singapore is more
expensive than in malaysia.

just surf the web and you'll know how good and comfortable is a TEANA.

Hmm...cefiro 3.0 will be nice if you dun want much handling. 2nd hand of
course.

Then there are the japs, camry accord.

For contis, new ones would be citroen C5,407, or my recommendation, the new
octavia FSI.

Or you can always go the 'other' way ie get an alfa 164 3.0 v6Tongue
Will need work done...but the manual version is damn niceThumbUp especially
on the HW. And oh..a used 1 will cost around 10K onlyBig Smile

Look no further..my choice is Accord 2.0L (New). If budget permit, get 2.4L.
Cool ambience inside. Solid design. Very techy feel. I will not consider
Camry whiz an "ah-pek" car. Also dun how realiable camry nowadays.

Just read yesterday STAR that a timber tycon owner killed himself after
lost control of his Camry while driving at Tropicana,PJ. Read page no.27
(nation column).

A joke here is...do you have to mouth blow your car "air-bag" in case of
accident like this?
