you cant buy a 787B... only 4 units were made for the 1991 le mans. 1
sits at the Le Mans museum. No idea where the others are.

Koolspyda,

Daihatsu Copen is cool... I just dont know enough about it to form an
opinion on it just yet.

but for the toyota thing, I dont particularly see it as selling to
the "brand cautious". The biggest thing selling for toyota is its service
support and the perceived reliability of its cars. They are the largest
car manufacturers because they sell cars everyone wants.

Not everyone wants "sporty". Average joe wants a car that has a certain
image, good quality build, very high reliability and low maintenance
costs. Toyota gears towards this on multiple levels.

Mazda has always had a poor standing in comparison to toyota and Honda -
possibly due to marketing strategies in the past where they didnt attempt
a stronger push into the american market. I dont know.

But I do know that Mazda cars tend to have more fun in them than most
brands - again this is due to marketing. Remember, not everyone likes to
drive. And those that love to drive love to drive in a certain way -
straight roads. Mazda cars are zoom zoom not in straights, but in overall
balance. When all else is taken into consideration, Toyota has got its
hand on the pulse of the market - that's why its doing so well.

The NSX replacement, the upcoming Skyine (upcoming G35 Coupe), or the
Lexus IS 350 (not a real sports car but 300+hp and rear wheel drive).
