is good if you like high revving engine. the Vtec is reliable like hell, pump petrol and go.

Drove this car few years back in 1 of the dealers, car has high bhp yes,
but almost no torque, so needed to rev high all the time to get some uuummmph..

but is the most reliable sports car as rated in UK car mags.

Guess it's a good used buy now.. not much to worry as car doesn't break down.

absolute beast when it fly's (vtec). driven a friends ride up/down from frasers. (F20 spec).

The latter F22 S2K should be slightly better response on lower end over the former. They (honda)
has also corrected the dreaded (too much) oversteer on limit that inflicked the earlier S2K.

if torque is still unsatisfactory, there is always option of supercharger for it. (bolt on).
i think rod millen USA has one for it (couple with some other manufacturer names out there)

my guess the stock S2K power is more then enough then what most people (local enthusiast) can
handle. I know for a fact that 90% of local enthusiast only wants to have the "satisfaction" of
"more HP power" strapped behind then they actually use it.

Add a super charger? For me, i still like the original car. Smile

Yes, i realised too bout the model F20 n F22. I knew Honda keep on
upgrading the spec n it become nicer n nicer. Lack of torque? High rev all
the time? So the FC is high, rite?

How much for a new S2K? Nobody know?

of course, pedal-to-metal would mean higher FC. Big Smile

not sure of S2K (new) but F20 S2K (used/preowned as they put it these days) RM140K - 165K.
frineds yellow S2K was bought at RM142K 2 years ago. price for roadster like these would still
hold much better then say EVO/scooby. (while there boost trills in EVO/scobby is gauranteed to
smiles on driver)

Referring to 1st gen S2K with F20C engine. People tell me this car sucks
because of the following:
-no torque = poor acceleration until you get high revs
-daily drive bad because of poor torque, start-stop is a pain
-gearing tight, power band high so plenty gear change
-in the rain, can be scary
-crazy at the limits of the suspension
-sounds like a lawn mower
-over-rated due to (non)performance

Referring to 2nd gen S2K with F22C
-better response
-again, gearing too tight
-acceleration not as nice for the price you pay

That`s the complaints I heard from others.

In my opinion... ITS A GREAT CAR!!!

OMFG, rev to 9000 is so awesome. I love manual so its so fun to play with
the gears. The handling at the limits is great fun. Acceleration is no
problem, just keep the revs high in the VTEC band - its like a car with
high turbo threshold. And people who think this car is slow should watch
it run around a track, out-braking Evos and speeding around corners faster
than subarus - but admittedly, it was a track highly modified S2K and
those Evos were just enthusiast drivers.

Havent had the opportunity to try the F22C version yet.

I heard several S2K owners who have put turbos in but I dont know the
performance of these cars.

What? So bad bout this S2K? I heard some of the ppl told me the handling
was very bad, i dunno y they say so but i think this car is almost
perfect. Slow accelerate?? What i know this car spin 0-100 at 5second
something, rite?
