A-pillars are the two sloping vertical pillars on either side of your windscreen. Most of of us have our tweeters mounted on the lower end of the A-pillars, as opposed to having them on the edge of the dash and facing upwards.

Kick panels are located forward of the area where the speaker mounts on the front doors (for Protons and most Japanese cars, at least) are located. In most cars, you will see a grey plastic panel just next to your accelerator. That is the kick on the driver`s side.
