Help, my windscreen got chipped off . I can feel the glass is no longer
even. Could be a very small stone that caused it, but there is no hairline
crack. Any shop can fix this problem? Can DIY?

Yeah there are a few places around- I know of only one though which is section 17 PJ just
off the Rothman's Roundabout on Jln Universiti just a couple doors down from Kanna's Curry
House.

Yo diravi, even small chip also they can repair? How much would it cost?

Yeah they can do small chips- what they do is fill it in with some sort of transparent
polymer which simulates glass. Pretty good finish provided you get your car there fast. Once
dirt gets into the chip/crack they can still fill it in but the damage will always be very visible.

I think prices start at about RM60 per chip but really depend on the type of damage you've
suffered and how extensive it is. I dunno man... I only used em once or twice.

got mine done at my doorstep.just gip them a call and they will come to
ur place.but in KL/PJ area. price very reasonable too.if u wan just pm me
and i gip u their numbers.

3 months ago I went for an insurance claim for my windshield, got chipped
a bit so i thought okay...next 2 weeks...a nice 12" crack appeared from
the chip across the whole windshield! Blessed for having the thing
insured!

Now kena chipped again! So, taking precautions...

Hi forummers,

I drive a lot among with the lorries laden with mining stones. Now and
than i see cars parked by the road-sides with broken windscreen. Once i
kena! My Honda Accords winndscreen was crakced by one the stone! It cost
me few hundred ringgit to replace it, since i failed to insure it before
hand.

After 2 weeks time, my Benz windscreed was hit by a stone from a oncoming
lorry laden with stones. It was under insured, i still have to fork-out
few hundred ringgits from my pocket again.

With that two lessons, i fully insured for the windscreen now. But my
windscreens (both cars) was hit by stones for few times after that. But it
doesn`t break. Why and How???

I have TINTED both the front windscreens. (like what we do for the side
windows)Now i can see the stone hit marks (deep marks) in the windscreens
but it doesn`t break the windscreens. Why don`t you all tint your front
windcreen too. Now many auto accessory shops have it. Try it : Good Luck.
