There are not many direct owners of the 4th gen Ludes selling their cars.
Mostly found in 2nd hand car dealers. Planning to go see them one of these
days cos i just changed job and find it a bit hard to squeeze time right now.

yeah, i agree with the modified cars part. It has been my first priority
since day 1 to get a 'clean' car wiht stock settings. That includes no
engine change.

Tea Color Glass - Honda Inspire??? Most of it are in either black or white.

I think there are more gray market hondas in JB than in KL. Either that or
it was the singaporeans... heh.

But if you see a SB/CB with a sunroof, it's definitely a CB4. However, it
has 3 types of engines, 2.0 DOHC/SOHC/DOHC+carburetted. I don't think
you'll find much 1.8 CBs in malaysia although they were sold.

Accord22 is right on regarding the differences. Also, the easiest way to
tell is that JDM ones have the different front spoilers and the slightly
square rear lights.

Meanwhile, at my workplace, there's now a 4th gen prelude Si (not sure if
it's a VTEC, haven't looked at it closely yet), plus a EG SiR Ferio plus an
older EF Si twin-carb. And thousands of Myvi's ofcourse... heheh.

Fir2 - The parts for CB4 engine part is not the same as local SM4 i mean
everything.

You can only tell the different only by looking underneath the behind
wheels where you able to see the "4WS"

I own a SI, you can ask me anything on this model

It belongs to someone at the company I think. Dunno who it belongs it. But
if he is selling, I'm checking it out and calling dibs first! heheh.

I think by "tea coloured", accord22 means most of the imported JDMs have a
slight dark yellowish tint to their windows.

speaking of inspires, and vigors, those are high-end accords, very refined
and even more powerful. They use inline-5 engines, like certain audis.
However, I think parts are quite hard to find since I see these cars is
good condition at used car lots selling very cheaply.

kl2002, I'm curious about the CB4 Si's 4WS. What type is it? The 4th gen
prelude uses an electronic 4WS, while 3rd gen uses an actual mechanical
linkage. For example, in my car, there's a visible "transmission tunnel"
running through the car but it's not RWD, instead it's for the mechanical
linkage to the 4WS.

The Inspires and Vigors are selling around 20-25k before the petrol price
height. So, i should be cheaper now. Those accords look really good. One of
my neighbour used to drive one. but i didn't know its actually an INLINE 5!!!

Machzero, upgrading your Lude??

duck, just keeping an eye open.

They used to be called accord inspires or just vigors (upscale accords).
When the SM/CB came out, they got their own different body. But these
inspires and vigors have the chassis ID of CB5. And yeah, they have 2 or
2.5 litre inline5 engines.

Frankly, even though i'm not interested in getting an inspire/vigor. Fir2,
the 2 litre do sound like a good buy with all the high end stuff built into
it. But 2.5 just seem too steep in terms of FC and road TAX!!!
