Just doesn`t make sense. You already spent so much on a Honda, why save a
few dollars, instead of sending it to a authorized SC for proper care ? I`m
still sending mine to authorized SC even though it`s already coming to 4 years.

Mine as well. 5 years already with Honda SC. May cost a bit more but the
service is worth it. Already know nearly all the staff there. I know which
staff can do what efficiently. Peace of mind. My 5 years old CT running
like new (110k++ km clocked).

Your wife really did a big mistake on lubricants. Possible some minor
damge to your g/b already. The best thing was, flushing the whole gearbox
using only genuine honda cvt gear oil only to make sure all the remaining
Halvoline Gold gear oil was out from it. This was the best way to save
the gearbox again.

Honda City, no matter i-DSI or VTEC, using only genuine honda 10W/30
engine oil (Specially for honda engine) and honda cvt gear oil. Don't
ever try other to claim it was good for your car. Genuine honda lubricant
already good enough, don't play around on lubricant that we're no so
familiar with that.

Good luck...

why only use honda engine oil 10W/30?

why cant use other brand engine oil with the same grade 10W/30?

for example, why cannot use petronas 10W/30 engine oil for honda city

care to explain?... bcoz i found your 'advise' quite peculiar.

hi guys, just to share perhaps another potential cause for jerking...

my car will jerk a bit when engaged in reverse gear, and initially for a
sec or two when in D. Honda SC checked for me, and noticed that my
gearbox mounting has cracked. I'll be changing it next week tho, but they
say that it's the cause of the vibrations/minor jerking.

Just my 2 cents...
