Right lads
Stay with me on this one- it’s a bit of a humdinger........
Was washing my car today- couldn’t stand how dirty it was anymore and as
usual was highly
appreciative of the fine job my AutoGlym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner was
doing on my
car.
I took a little look at the label and here’s what it says:-
“..... contains a balanced blend of surface-active ingredients to
carefully lift traffic film
without harm to polished paintwork and trim. Additional complex
ingredients are carried by
water and cover the bodywork surfaces by electro-molecular attraction
forming a glossy
water repellant barrier which protects and beautifies. pH neutral.”
Now.... here's what you see on Head and Shoulders shampoo:-
"Has conditioning ingredients to relieve hair dryness and help prevent
damage and split
ends leaving your hair silky smooth."
Doesn't say an awful lot does it? It doesn't even say it's pH neutral.
Also Head and Shoulders
costs something like RM7.50 for a 200cc bottle whereas the AutoGlym one
costs RM38.90
for 500cc. If you scale up the Head and Shoulders cost you'd see that it
will cost about
RM18.75 for a 500cc bottle.
Now..... in other threads we've been saying how harsh cheap shampoos and
polishes/waxes
are on your paintwork...... would the same hold true for the stuff we use
on our heads?
In other words....... errrrr..... has anybody ever tried a good car
shampoo on errrr... their
hair? I have to admit the AutoGlym stuff sounds much better than the Head
and Shoulders
stuff.... and I have to admit I'd not DARE to wash my car with Head and
Shoulders for fear of
stripping the wax or doing some other damage to the paintwork. If
AutoGlym is better than
Head and Shoulders for the car would the same be true of our hair?
Anybody tried? I have to admit I'm talking about it.... pretty soon I'll
start thinking about it.
SOMEBODY STOP ME!!!!!
I'm pretty sure it won't hurt- certainly it doesn't have any bad effect
on my hands when I use
it to wash the car.........
Anybody with errr.. experience? How about Meguair's or Zaino?
Cheers

Diravidude,
Hahaha ... u try it and let me know whether it works or not. If it works
then I will throw away those Pantene shampoo which I have been using for
years and replaced with MG Soft wash gel, or Gold Class shampoo!! Zaino's
shampoo smells like Fanta Grape and I don't want my pillow to be fill
with ants when I wake up in the morning. hehehe

DiRaviDude,
HAHAHAHAHA!!! YOU CRACK ME UP!!!
But seriously, if you actually give it a shot, you might end up with a
PhD
(Permanent Head Damage) & your OEM shampoo would be Scalp & Shoulders!
Me,
I haven¡¯t used any shampoo in the last ten years, only Dettol soap while
showering everyday. Suits me fine, no problems. No dandruff, no Kutu,
soft
& squeaky clean as hell. Some more, pH balanced with moisturiser, man.
Hmmm, does that mean I can have an Antiseptic Car?
