Wow....
18 month guarantee on a polish and wax job? THIS I really got to see.
Anybody?
Oh... and best get some lawyer to look over the terms of the guarantee
before forking over
your money to them. 18 months for a single polish/wax sounds awfullly
good.

Must be GLARE, they claim to be using one type of substance called
Glassplexin or something. But no forummers have tried it so far...
Sounds too promising, perhaps?

ahhl,
You want to do it?
I was thinking of it too. Let's get a bargain using our club!
the last time i ask was somewhere around RM438-488. Can't remember. But
might be able to get 20% discount! Let's discuss this at IA!

Funny thing about Glare - once after the polish/wax, you're not supposed
to wash your car with any car shampoo for 18 months.....
Anyway, relating an experience that too place about last year, Glare
invited all the Porsche owners to a demo and showed off their "glare
meter". They placed the meter on a bonnet and it showed a rating of 6.xx.
Subsequently they polished/waxed the bonnet and the meter showed a rating
of 7.xx.
Of all the people they invited to that demo, they included an Audi TT
owner which uses MG products. The owner asked to borrow the glare meter
as he wants to see what is the rating of his TT. Bearing in mind that he
has not done anything to his car for the past 3 weeks before the demo.
The rating of the TT - 8.xx & glare lost all the business of Porsche.

Yup, I do remember them saying that you'll only need to rinse your car
with water only, no shampoo required.
Whoa, that's quite a bummer for them about the TT , but th ow. I\'QA bfs621

Errr dude....
It was KEC. Random orbiter for starters, rotary/grinder for experts. I
gather that the
important thing is for it to have a variable speed control- if you go too
fast you'll bake the
polish onto the paint and ruin it.
I've got a random orbiter and it works fine for my limited talents. When
I grow up I'll get a
rotary.
Cheers

Best of all, get both!!! Even when you've gained more experience and have
advanced forward to use the rotary machine, you will still use the random
orbitor for some other purposes.

Basic start & easy to come by would be the bosch GEX/PEX 270AE. Price is
about RM325 per unit.

All the Bosch machines are ok as long as the end alphabets are "AE". The
AE means speed variable. The DeWalt 443 is ok but a bit difficult to find
& support could be difficult. For Bosch, the support is back ow. I\'QA bfs621
