I didn`t know there were so many Civic 2006 owners with the engine mounting
problem until a friend directed me to this forum. I thought my car problem
was an isolated case. The Service Centre try to cover up the problem so
that their would-be customers would not be aware of it. I would advise
future buyers to hold on to their orders for the Civic 2006. Not worth your
investment if this engine mounting problem is not resolve. Can you imagine
other problems cropping up due to the engine mounting problem, after the
warranty period??? You will have to pay for the repair and parts replacement!

I just came across an announcement in today`s Star paper (Business Section,
Page B9) that the Ministry of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs is
organising a Consumer Carnival (26-30 July), at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil,
with the theme "Know your rights better as a consumer". The Federation of
Malaysian Consumer Association (FOMCA) will also be there. Perhaps the
Civic 2006 owners staying in the Klang Valley with the engine mounting
problem could go to the carnival and obtain the assistance of FOMCA on how
to file a complaint against Honda Malaysia for delivering defective cars.
They can also show the car problems to FOMCA. We are not making up stories
about the problem as we can easily prove it.

The best part is that the Prime Minister will be one of the guest to the
carnival, and Toyota is one of the many sponsors of the carnival.

I am really dissapointed with Honda Malaysia, keeping totally silent and
not responding to the customers` complaints at all.

Managed to get new engine mouting installed but still FAILED..the noise
still... sure all have same problem just matter of time or road you are
on.

If everyone just have very patient and give up attitude then wait another
two year or three years till warranty over.. then can sell car lah...

While I am waiting in rest room heard the women talk to other man that
Honda quality poor and drop if compare with Toyota....in fact I wanna
tell showed them my car was there to change stupid mouting only 3 months
new..

I found our local CKD door handle very difficult to open if compare with
CBU unit. NVH in Civic CKD unit was lost out far far away from Civic CBU
unit..

I really learn the lesson here.. I thot Local proton make lousy car but
Honda also quite close to them ... regret to spent money in this car
rather invest another house and drive myvvi.....really fed up.

I have comment in anotehr thread that enjoy life as you can... but I make
mistake here...would like to revised that NO HONDA CAR please... at least
this so called new civic..

ENGINE MOUTING DESIGN PROBLEM IS VERY VERY CRITICAL TO ME.

DO YOU EVER HAVING ENGINE MOUTING ISSUE WHEN NEW IN YOUR PREVIOUS CAR??

THINK OF IT? I AM SURE PROTON AND TOYOTA NEVER HAVE IT SO LOUSY...

Guys,

I don't mean to be rude. But can you all stop whining, murmuring,
complaining and suggesting this and that. Instead start the complaint
letter. start to file a complaint with the Consumer Tribunal, START
organising a meet up and you guys drive to HM to demonstrate. START to
get the media involved!

Throughout the thread, only suggestion but no one takes the lead. I was
once a victim of poor quality of honda city. suggested, complain and no
forumer really back me or other genuine complainants. At least i got my
gear box replaced by HM under warranty!

So guys, again my sincere symphathy with your ordeal..but START to do
something rather than complaining here...all the best

Yes!! agreed with you.. I already take any action by myself due to not
all guys here have same feeling as me...

By complaint to SC manager and chief engineer by any mean of
language..finaly got engine mouting replaced but no help due to desgin
issue not faulty part.

From registration service to part replaced without my attention for this
case. They treated me very well and explain to me the problem is.. I am
vey sure they will call me up for new part testing soon...becos I am vey
rude may be but I get the job done.

I think they only recall people like me who treat it very serius on this
thumb thumb noise so less cost mah...

I got my mounting replaced, and the ketuk ketuk sound is gone. But I think
my chasis got assembly problem. When going thru a speed bump on low speeds
where, I can hear faint krakkk krakkk. According to SC they think it's
some spot welding on the front portion of the chasis not done properly. So
they said to leave the car in the workshop at least 1 week to
troubleshoot. Go fly kite.... I think I'll head down to Ultra Racing one
of these days and install a cross brace on the front fender. 2Hr job
perhaps.
