Hi guys,
I`ve had a bad experience driving up Gunung Brinchang (in Cameron
Highlands) with my Waja Campro Manual.
The road condition is very bad and I actually burnt my clutch while having
a few attempts to pass big hole filled with minial stones.
Logged the GPS coordinate at
North 04" 31.597`
East 101" 23.347`
Watch out!
Just some advices.
here`s another posting of the story:

A Kancil 850 with 3 occupants were seen going up the hill with ease.
But, its straining on the clutch as there is almost no level spot for the
car to stop to take a breather. Clutch smell after the climb will be very
apparent, and on the way down, your brake pad smell will take over.
Pity that the area is gettin a bit congested as more and more ppl like the
challenge of having "conquered" G.Brinchang.
Well folks, lets not over do it..so that there's still a usable road for
us to use later on.

I think he was balancing the clutch at 5000rpm on the 3rd gear..
the dude needs an auto. I think he can't drive a manual.

Hi Cire,
Road condition chances already.. not so easy to get up there.
There are some photos posted from the AW posting link on the first thread.
Have a look and there's a pic that you will slightly see the hole. :)
Hi unpro,
Thanks for the comment but from the bottom of my heart, your nickname
really suits you, unpro -> un-professional...
I guess someone like you will always think that you are the best and will
never learn how to improve. You are humiliating me man!!!
Have you finish reading the post's link on top? Have you looked at the
photos?
Balancing the clutch at 5000rpm on 3rd gear -> you think I'm such a fool?
FYI, you will be the first for me to remember in AW which humiliated me.
Hi guys,
About my I burnt my clutch, it was posted on the link on top. I did not
cut the whole thing here.
Anyway, the road condition up to Gunung Brinchang was terrible when I went
up there. I'm just giving advices here and hopefully others will be more
cautious when trying to go up. Afterall, this is a "Highway Alert" forum,
right? :)

I get a "driver" to drive mi up to the peak at RM40 per pax. I guess it
is worth the hassle. It was a guide tour through the mossy track, and a
tea break at BOH tea plantation.

Been there 4 years ago with my manual waja 1.6. It was full house: 5
adults plus 2 small kids.
Yeah it's challenging (my father - one of the passenger - even told me to
cease the attempt mid way because the engine was straining loudly) with
uneven, pot-holed and narrow road but definitely doable. Once up there,
all those trouble will be worth it.

BTW, CH consider my 2nd home. Been there > 16 times within a year!
