Heard the news from local TV last night. Motorcycles
are banned from using the highway because "they
are 'slow' and will disturb the traffic flow" , said
the Highway Manager...and hence will cause more
accident!

What's a crab!!!! And pity on those bikers. If this is
the sole reason then we shall ban all bikers on all
roads! I think this is discrimonation against bikers
who do not need to pay toll!

If speed is the reasons, Do you believe Yamaha 125
slower than 12000 c.c. lorry? Get real!

Let's hear your comment.

depends lar...

most of the motorcyclists hogs the road like nobody's
business..but mind you , i ride an ex5 - class .. so i
go top speed most of the time...at 100 - 110...

a) to not hog the road
b) to not anger ppl ..ppl get angry because we are
slow etc..
c) i ride fast , but safe.. (signal lights , mirror
etc)..i dont do zig zag.

:)

I think that they should be banned altogther on
Malaysian roads.

It really costs the taxpayers a lot of money to keep
them in hospitals for treatment after an accident
which most are self inflicted. It would be simply
cheaper for Malaysia if they kick the bucket upon
impact.

I can understand that there are people who can't
afford to buy cars and motorcycles are their only
means of personal transport, so they should be allowed
to use the roads like any other citizens. The problem
is with those who ride recklessly and do not give a
thought about other road-users as well as those who
ride like they own the road. Very often, I have seen a
motorcyclist riding in a lane or just to the side, not
fast, and other cars cannot pass because they want to
avoid hitting him. Now, if motorcycles pay less
roadtax and are supposed to use up less road space,
then this should not be happening.

I have used bikes before and like them and know that
life on the road can be pretty hairy when there are
cars all around. But motorcyclists should also ride
sensibly and with consideration, instead of weaving in
and out and making others have to watch out for them.

the reason that is given is because motorcycles are
slower that any other 4-wheeled vehicles. So, what is
the use of having 3 lanes on the elevated highway?
Does this mean that all the three lanes are meant for
speeding? In actual fact, there are more slower
drivers than motorcyclist on the road. And do they
know that my bike is faster than most of the cars on
the road?

And to those drivers who hate motorcyclist riding in
the middle of the lane, pls be aware that some of
the motorcyclist are following the car in front, not
hogging. But i must admit that some motorcyclist hog
the road. For my case, there are times where I get
horned by the car behind when I'm riding on the fast
lane following the traffic. Izzit just because I'm
riding on 2 wheels I have no right to use the fast
lane??? Do you know that the road-tax I'm paying for
my bike is more expensive than most of you paying for
the road-tax of your car??? Come on, I'm using the
fast lane and I'm following the car in front and i'm
following the speed of the traffic on the fast lane,
so what's wrong? I really get fed up with this
situation....wanna speed, come...let's race, see who's
faster, your car or my bike.

I'm a rider too..

So far, kena langgar pun jatuh, melanggar pun jatuh..

I agreed with nuggyn that my bike road tax is more
expensive than my car..So, pls be fair to bike users
la..They also pay road tax..
