Hi, out of the blues getting fault code P0087 Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low on my 3008 diesel with 95k mileage. After 1 day the code will disappear by itself. After getting it twice, it seems to happen during hard accelerate (not flooring). Everything else looks fine & no power loss at all. Could it be fuel pump issue? Anyone has encountered it before? AF appointment takes awhile to set up. Appreciate if anyone can share what their previous issue was & how serious it was. Thanks.

It could be the Fuel Pump or check that the fuel filter is not clogged.

Seriously, I am not sure as I would leave it to the Authorised Workshops to do a full diagnostics as they do have the tools.

As long as your car has the 5-year or 7-year warranty, it is best to go back to Peugeot.

If after 95k km have not change fuel filter before, should be quite dirty already. Usually the filters are in the engine compartment but then Different car brands fit their filters at different places. Just get a PUG authorized workshop to have a look if your regular mechanic cannot do it.....

Ok thanks guys. I'll check it out during my next service coming up soon. Hopefully not the HPFP.

If you have not done it yet, the HPFP is a recall item.
Do ask at the Service Centre about your recalls if you have (must be done before June) any, plus eligibility for the 7 year warranty.

Aw, damn.
The HPFP will cost a lot unless your car is eligible for 7 year warranty, which might cover it.
