Just got this car (2006 model Peugeot 206)from my brother, and while i'm changing the remote casing (tear out) i cannot start my car, and what did i found out was the ID46 transponder is missing (maybe lost during the change), i can still lock and unlock the car, just the transponder missing thus cannot start the car
1. is it possible if i bought blank id46 transponder and reset it back to my old car keys?
2. or anybody know how and where i can resolve this issue with cheaper ways? (been told i need to change the whole ECU set worth rm2k)
Would really appreciate it if got some feedbacks or anyone been facing this issue before as i've been google it and got mix reviews.

It is possible to reprogram a transponder (immobilizer) to your car.
But just as anything Peugeot... you gotta go to the right person, else everything goes south and you start to curse Peugeot.
Where are you at? Got a reliable Peugeot shop?
