Hi all sifu,

Original size = 205/60/R16

Which replacement size is better and why? 215/45/R17 or 225/45/R17

What is the benefit of going 225/45/R17? As the tyre are more expensive by RM100.00 each.

From 205/60R16 to 215/45R17 is too small. More than 4% smaller, even 224/45R17 is 2 over % smaller.

Closest is 215/50R17 which is 0.86% smaller or

225/50R17 which is 0.67% bigger

or if 18" 225/45R18 which is 1.12% bigger

Benefit of going lower profile is handling, less body roll, better cornering. Tyres are wider so better traction and looks better too, however with lower sidewall the ride will be bumpier, tyres will be more expensive
