Hi All...

I bought a 2008 altis few months ago and the suspension and ride was rough. So, I've replace the absorber, absorber mounting, link and 2 nos. stabilizer bush. But the ride still rough and not comfy. Please advise what else I have to change in order to get the comfy ride. Lower arm? Upper arm (is it exist in altis?)? Thank You....

Your ride is rough in what sense? Bouncy, bumpy?

Usually the first thing will be the absorbers. If rough probably it has jammed up, but you have already changed that.

Next to check will be your tyres. How old are they? Are they harden? What air pressure are you using?

Rough mean it cannot absorb the unevenness of the road. If I go thru the bump a little bit fast, feels like my butt going off the seat. Tyre pressure follow the sticker at the door. The tyre is 3 years ++, about 40k km ++ mileage, but it has 6 years warranty, original size. So it has nothing to do with lower/upper arm? I don't want to waste my money while not getting any good result. Thank you very much sir vr2turbo....

Lower/upper arm I have not come across in this type of complaint. If arm are worn or bushes loose, they will make noise already.

What type of absorbers did you change to? Gas type? If yes, they are also a bit on the harder side

Maybe gas type, kayaba brand - change at the spare part shop. Normally, for quite an old car, what else I have to replace in suspension system to get the comfy back?

Oil shocks are softer but the ride on higher speed can be floaty
