Thanks pwira97 for the tips and intro another alternative for headlight restoration. From Facebook, it stated RM 100 for 2 spray cans (base and top coat) and the necessarily sandpapers and cleaning wipes.
About spar urethane, heard that it is originally used as 'lacquer' in woodworking. I m not sure about the clarity after the coating as beam cut-off and clarity is important in low beam.

It is clear like clear coat, my friend did on a few cars already

If one is particular especially about the clarity, it might not be their choice, especially paired with a expensive bulb +100% etc that come with sharp cut-off. I have not used it ,so can't testify it but there are some concerns as discussed in the auto detailing forum - Autogeek.

It comes down to application again and how it is applied. Problem with spar is it comes in a tin. It cannot be painted over and over with brush. My friend use cotton wool and when apply just go over one time, so have to be quick and apply left and right and cover whole headlamp fast.

Let the paint cure for about a week and put sealant such as Soft 99 Fusso 12 months coat. That's really good.

Went to the paint shop. Asked for 2K clear coat. They mix the clear and hardener and put it in a can for me at the back of the shop. They also can put any colour for me in a can.
Don't buy clear lacquer in a can which they normally sell. Those are not 2K unless specifically stated. Most 2K already have UV inhibitors mixed in. If not all the repainted cars will turn yellow.
The 2k clear coat mentioned here means it would be alike to Aikka as 2k means coating with hardener. The working time for 2k paint is very short once mixed, anywhere from 4 hours to 48 hours once both are mixed. Thread starter (TS) mentioned the product is 2k clear, means need to use within short period.
1K paint = enamel or arcylic, i.e your regular spray can (those 'Anchor' / 'Pyrex' spray can that cost RM 10). also your regular touch up paint in small bottle.
2K paint= color coat mixed with hardener.
For headlight, most pro will use 2K. Retail from RM 30 - RM 40, pre-mixed on the spot by paint shop.
1k = Not resistance to thinner/mineral spirit
2K = Resistance to the above.
Than's means - spray can can use more than 48 hours opened (used) is not 2K.
Not to be confused single stage paint with two stage paint
1 stage paint = single color without clear coat. (can be 1K or 2K)
2 stage paint = base coat then clear coat (most are 2K)
