would the EU grade on the tyre able to help us decide which tyre to choose?

 

how accurate is these information published by each manufacturer?

It is quite strict in the EU, but how good the info I am not too sure either because it is manufacturers own test and labeling, just like the UTQG required in the US.

Still best is real world test from users and members, because feedback is from their own use on daily drives. Even test done on test track can take up to certain degree only because the tyres are test new only. No feedback when they are worn, results can be different especially the wear rate, the noise level and then the grip factor could change drastically as they wear especially tyres with harder compound and with many sipes to soften them. Once the sipes wear off the grip really goes....
