and then I want to transfer the NCD from previous car to new car. Here comes the problem, sales man said" just need to call the insurance to cancel the insurance and get a letter from them."
after that went to call Etiqa (insurance company that with my sold car). And they said need me to cancel roadtax and bring the document to their office.
and then, I check back with my salesman, he said when doing ownership transfer via MYEG that time road tax auto cancel already.
and call back to Etiqa again, they check in system says my road tax still active.
So I try to call MYEG is anything can prove roadtax is cancel, myeg says ask them check system can see already.
Everyone pushing the ball!
Aiyoyo, I have to go Etiqa office to really ask them How should I cancel my insurance! damn trouble some.

When u sell your car and perform online myeg transfer to used car dealer, there should be an online receipt. Print it out. This is the proof for insurance company to cancel your motor insurance and release NCD.

Probably you need to change insurance company...haha
My wife bought her first new car a few years back, so we took the insurance that came with it. After one year I ask her to transfer over to our usual insurance. We just supply our insurance with the car data and who was our former insurance, and usual insurance contact our former insurance on our behalf and got the NCD transferred....

I only bring the ori insurance policy. And the officer there check on JPJ system, make sure the road tax is dead. And then chop sign, issue me the letter.
I dont know why on the phone that person of Etiqa was so troublesome to me, which ask to me to bring road tax cancel slip, or owner trasnfer slip etc).
So here's my experience of Canceling insurance (Etiqa): have to bring insurance policy (& ur ic) to their office to sign & cancel. And also make sure the road tax is cancelled from jpj record.
Thx everyone!

What is wrong with Amassurance? If nothing, then easier just to continue with them, right?

yes, nothing wrong w amassurance. As I'm not able to renew at the counter (now not in msia), I'm checking if I can renew online. It turns out that it is almost impossible. The links and websites of my current insurer and few others including etiqa either gives error message or no links. Anyway, my email to etiqa was replied saying that I need to click three times on the error screen to go to the next menu??? and this was not mentioned anywhere on the screen...
BTW, I already renew at AAM as my son was there yesterday...
